Grand Duchy of Huntsburg
Huntsburg, officially the Grand Duchy of Huntsburg, is a micronation with claims over some areas of the southern and western Michigan Upper Peninsula, which was founded in 2016 by Liam of Huntsburg. Huntsburg is currently not recognized by any government or country acknowledged by the United Nations or European Union.
History
The Grand Duchy of Huntsburg was founded on 13 August 2016 by Liam Carignan. The micronation is derived from the 10th century Frankish duchy. Huntsburg has a working government with political parties including the NLP (National Liberal Party), DNC (Democratic National Convention), RNC (Republican National Convention). The Grand Duchy originates from it's father nation, the Duchy of Huntsburg. In 2013, Duke David II of Huntsburg, there was a total of 5,795,456 citizens. Modern day, 2017, the population is 189,505 citizens. Like the Grand Duchy of Flandrensis, the Grand Duchy of Huntsburg is founding a Commonwealth with only English and Spanish speaking micronations.
Kingdom of Huntsburg
The Kingdom of Huntsburg was founded on 7 April 2017 by it's first king, King Liam. The micronation splits off of it's father nation, the Grand Duchy of Huntsburg. As before, the Kingdom of Huntsburg remains intact with it's government and political parties. The Kingdom originates from it's grandfather nation, the Duchy of Huntsburg. In 2013, Duke David II of Huntsburg, there was a total of 5,795,456 citizens. today, the population seizes to 189,505 citizens due to the reigning of President Dmitry Wvladislav. Similar to it's father nation and cousin nation, the Grand Duchy of Flandrensis, the Kingdom of Huntsburg remains with it's Commonwealth of which only English and Spanish speaking micronations can access, however, future legislation by Queen Abigail will see to it that all nations are welcome in the Huntsburgian Commonwealth.
Territory
In 2013, territory consisted of (Michigan) Delta County, Beaver Island, and all of Wisconsin. Today, the Grand Duchy consists of Schoolcraft, Delta, Menominee, Dickinson, Iron, Houghton, Baraga, Ontanagon, and Gogebic counties.
National symbols
The flag of Huntsburg is inspired by it's allied and home countries, the United States of America, Württemberg, and Germany. (Although the Germanic flag isn't placed on the Huntsburg flag, the Württemberg flag is placed as a part of Germany deriving from Württemberg-Baden.) The flag also consists of the Gay flag for equality, as discrimination is strictly forbidden yet tolerated to some extent. There is also the British flag, as the Grand Duchy of Huntsburg is an associate member of the British Commonwealth. As said before, the Grand Duchy of Huntsburg is founding a Commonwealth of it's own, giving the British flag a brother flag to the right, standing for the Huntsburg Commonwealth.
The bird of Huntsburg is the Cardinal, for the Queen's love for nature, beauty, and color of the bird.
The flower of Huntsburg is the Orchid, for the beauty of the Queen that it reflects her, as a gift by her cousin Sebastian on her 16th birthday.
The stone of Huntsburg is the Sapphire, for the memory of Prime Minister Liam while his reign in Huntsburg.
