Vannfjell, officially the Kingdom of Vannfjell (English: Kingdom of Vannfjell, Japanese: ヴァンフィエル王国 rom. Vu~anfieru ōkoku) is a constitutional monarchy surrounded by the State of Colorado in the United States. Formally founded by Queen Diana in late-2018, Vannfjell has established a legislature to create laws and policies pertaining to a micronation free of turmoil, in which elections are to be held in February 2020.
Etymology
The name Vannfjell is Norwegian. "Vann" is Norwegian for Water as "Fjell" is translated to Mountain. Wanting to pay homage to the mountains and the Arkansas River from their Macronation, Diana wanted to find a way to put the names together. Thus, Vannfjell was formed.
Governments
The Vannfjellian Royal Family
The Monarchy is the Constitutional Head of State. As of 21 February 2020, Jessie is now head of state, as Vannfjell's second queen-regnant. The succession laws were changed 31 January 2020, and took effect on 23 February: The Line of Succession will be followed under Absolute Primogeniture, meaning that the eldest child of the monarch, regardless of gender, will be first-in-line to the throne.
The Royal Council
The Royal Council was established on 4 December 2018. As of current, the only member is Mr. James Raquedan.
Political Parties
At the moment, Vannfjell has no political parties as voting will not be opening until 15 February.
Elections will take place on 28 February 2020. [1]
Foreign relations
As of 2 March 2020, Vannfjell has created diplomatic ties with The Kingdom of Lammat and The Kingdom of Antistan.
Culture
Vannfjell's dress depends on the occasion; business attire is standard for Council Meetings, formal for black-tie events, cultural dress is dependent on what is organized. Traditional dress is up to the discretion of each and every individual.
