Marshal of the Frondesian Federation, sometimes shortened to Marshal of the Federation, is the highest rank in the Frondesian Army. It is a five star officer rank, and ranks immediately above General. It is equivalent to the Grand Admiral rank in the Frondesian Navy.
It is the most prestigious rank a Frondesian officer may be awarded. Promotions to the rank are made at the discretion of the President of Frondesia. So far, nobody has been elevated to the rank.
Insignia
The insignia of a Marshal of the Federation consists of a promenant gold star atop a silver star flipped upside down, sat underneath the Frondesian coat of arms.
History
The rank was formed on 26 August 2023 and was initially intended to be the highest rank overall in the Armed Forces of Frondesia. However, after some consideration the rank of Grand Admiral was established in the navy, alongside the Marshal rank in the army.
