Metallityöt Couraadia Alaghbalous, commonly known as Metalli or M.C.A, is an Easwegian former great officer of state, tradesman, militia officer and a founder of Easway, who served in various posts, including as Grand Marshal from 2020 to 2021, 3rd and 5th Marquis of Essrina from 2020 to 2021, 4th Assembly President in 2023, and 8th General Director from 2023 to 2024. A much respected statesman figure, his political vehicle Easway First at his point of resignation held all seats within the Essrina Municipal Council, with himself serving from late 2022 to early 2024 as prefect of Essrina's Greater Liyvazun. Beginning his career as a member of the third National Directorate, Metalli went on to serve as the 3rd and 5th Marquis of Essrina for two periods in 2020 and 2021. Metalli was successful in reviving the commander-in-chief position of Grand Marshal, serving as its 3rd holder from 22 October 2020 to 15 April 2021. Through his strengthening of the national guard, Metalli was able to recover trust in the democratic sustainability of Easwegian politics and took part in the 2020 Partisan's Movement, which culminated in the Tenth Amendment, re-legalising political parties. Metalli succeeded Emizerri to serve as the 4th President of the United Common Assembly from 8 April to 25 November 2023. Previously he had served as the 1st President of the United Prefectural Assembly from 15 December 2022 to 8 April 2023, until the Forty Ninth Amendment merged its responsibilities into a new unified parliamentary federal body. After Emizerri left office as Grand Councillor, Metalli succeeded newly elected Grand Councillor Squ Bai as General Director, serving from 25 November 2023 to 8 April 2024.
For his recurring roles within the Easwegian National Guard, his knowledge of tactical affairs, and popularity among troops, Metalli is considered a founder of Easway.
Early Career
Metalli is usually said to have entered Easwegian public life on the 2 August 2020 and quickly began creating artwork and early stage tank and ship designs. He served in the third National Directorate, then known as the Federal Easwegian Directorate (FED), between 5 August 2020 and September 2020 as Boriopan Director of Agriculture & Community. Through this role, Metalli was interested in ways to revolutionise production in Easway's underdeveloped agricultural industry. Known for his natural charm and forwardness, he came onto the radar of Emizerri, who he joined a personal alliance with in many political goals. He soon was nominated to the position of Marquis of Essrina.
Third Marquis of Essrina
Metalli was elected as the 3rd Marquis of Essrina on 20 September 2020. He used this position to explore the cultural heritage of Easway and further ways to strengthen its national standing and defence, of which Essrina has historically played a significant part, especially within the mythologies of the Easwegian Commonwealth. Metalli campaigned for the re-addition of the position of Grand Marshal, which had been retired since 12 June 2018, a campaign of which he was successful in. Metalli campaigned for the incorporation of Kong Karls Land, an archipelago in the far-east of Svalbard. This was a successful campaign and it was incorporated through referendum as a nature reserve on 31 December 2020. He stood in this role until the Government - Armed Forces Constitutional Change which mandated that he must not hold both Grand Marshal position & Marquis position at the same time. He chose to stay on as Grand Marshal, until his resignation on 15th April 2021.
Grand Marshal
Metalli became Grand Marshal of the national militia on 22 October 2020. He was the 3rd person to hold this position and the 1st after the Provisional Government, of which the position was retired over two years before. As Grand Marshal, he was afforded the title of co-commander in chief of national defence.
As both Marquis of Essrina and Grand Marshal, Realmsedge based around Mount Furore, located in the south of Essrina municipality was modernised to make it more efficient in its duties as the headquarters of national defence. Metalli immediately took control of the Control Centre Espionage Association (CCEA), of which he launched covert operations against the newly belligerent foreign entity known as the People's Democratic Republic of Vyschiey (PDRV). He also continued to make armed vehicles, such as the Seasplitter ship and the EMD Hellraiser tank. The CCEA was retired for a new successor intelligence agency known as the Eschgau (today the Common Security Force) on 1 January 2021.
Fifth Marquis of Essrina
Metalli was sworn in as the 5th Marquis of Essrina on 10 August 2021 after receiving yet another endorsement from Emizerri. He ran unopposed.
As part of his Minister of Interior position, he focused on reforming the Police, including uniforms and also setting standards of those above the rank of Cadet having to have extensive riot control, which came into effect 23 September 2021.
Major disagreements of policy between Metalli and Emizerri was brewing during Metalli's term as 5th Marquis and so just over a month before the election, Metalli resigned his positions on 1 November 2021.
President of the United Prefectural Assembly
Metalli was elected in the newly created position of President of the United Prefectural Assembly on the 15th December 2022, one day after the five year anniversary of the drafting of the independence deceleration. The United Prefectural Assembly, which existed until 8 April 2023, was originally a union committee of prefects of the civil service which transformed into the legislative house of the National Directorate.
The United Prefectural Assembly had no official spokesperson, until a referendum, initiated by the Mutualist Ouroboros Party, which passed, in a landslide, 14 November that year. Other members, such as opposition leader and then Prefect of Rijp Syri were eligible to stand as President, whilst Metalli finished his term as Director of Housing & Community on the Pomors Frontier, but choose not to stand out of respect, anticipating Metalli who had suggested he might run.
President of the United Common Assembly
The United Prefectural Assembly as a legislative body was transferred to the unicameral United Common Assembly on 8 April, of which before this point had been a national diet, through the Fiftieth Amendment. Per the Amendment, the powers of President of the Unipra was transferred into the position of speaker of the UCA, of which was renamed to President. Metalli continued on in this role.
