President of the United Common Assembly

The President of the United Common Assembly is the speaker and chief administrator of the unicameral legislature of Easway. The holder of the position regulates in-session parliamentary debate and proposed bills, and oversees a presidium, which administers Assembly commissions. The position is comparable to that of the speaker of the Icelandic Althing. The current 5th President is Swapardeshi.

Eascohesion

The Easwegian Commission for Political Cohesion, or Eascohesion, is a high-level commission of the Presidium which is responsible for overseeing the correct behaviour of public officials in-line with the Seven Principles of Public Life, based on its British counterpart of the same name. It formed during the Brush-Off Campaign whereby Don Cho served as head of the Section for Political Cohesion. As the speaker, the President is responsible for ensuring that members of the Assembly are acting with integrity, are accountable to their constituents and are following correct procedures. It is the duty of the President to raise issues with members either privately or in-session, and as a final measure if necessary to report the situation to the Spokesperson of the National Electoral Commission.

2nd	Aleksou Desourrë	12 June 2018 - 14 January 2020	2nd, 3rd	The position of President was created to serve as head of the Provisional Government in June 2018, which was previously a title of the Grand Councillor (then known as Chief Curator or Emperor). The President, elected by the Mainland People's Committee, simultaneously served as their head. It's important to note that the assembly at this point was not a parliament, but a forum for the populace to elect the provisional government.
3rd	Emizerri	14 January 2020 - 8 April 2023	4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th	The ratification of the 2019/2020 Constitution of Easway once again established the head of state as the head of the assembly. Throughout Emizerri's incumbency as its head, the assembly was known as many things, including the House of Zerri (January - May 2020), the Easwegian National Diet (May 2020 - March 2021), the Long Palace National Diet (March 2021 - March 2023) and United Common Assembly (March 2023 - present)
4th	Metallityöt	8 April 2023 - 25 November 2023	9th	Served from the end of 2022 until the April 2023 Forty Ninth Amendment as 1st president of the now defunct United Prefectural Assembly (Unipra). With the Unipra merged into the newly unified national parliament the United Common Asssembly, he was elected as its transitional head. The May elections reconfirmed him as the president of the 9th Assembly.
