The Micronational Institute for Standardization is a government-owned organization in the Templar Kingdom. Run by micronationalist who wish to help. Similar to the ISO (see the List of micronations by official currency), it standardizes currency codes, country codes, production and scientific methods. Anyone is welcome here, to have his MIS 001 and MIS 002 codes, as long as there are never two of the same. (MIS 001 and MIS 002 codes are given on a first ask first given basis, unless you made arrangements with the other micronation to swap codes.)

MIS 001

The following is a list of active codes of official MIS 001 currency names. A MIS 001 code is made up of the two first letters of the country name and the last one of the first letter of the currency name. In the standard the values are called "alphabetic code", "numeric code", and "minor unit".

MIS 002

MIS 002 is a system for encoding country codes. Based on the ISO 3166, it has three parts. MIS 002-1 - for countries, MIS 002-2 - for their administrative divisions. When assigning codes, the MIS can overlap with the ISO 3166 standard (for this is for micronations only) and will try to use any combination of spellings, wordings, or languages of a country name. Unlike the ISO 3166, and like the MIS 001, renaming of a country in most cases is not a valid justification for a new code, but could be requested, and could be granted if the new code requested is not yet in use.

MIS 003

MIS 003 is a list of Micronations that have accepted the Metric system as their measuring system.
