The Micronational Pokémon Puzzle Challenge Association, also known as the MPPCA is an sports association for competitive Pokémon Puzzle Challenge. It was founded by the Self Declared DPRK Enclave of Taedong as a way to promote the game.

Competitive PPC

Playing Pokémon Puzzle Challenge in a competitive way is very uncommon in the world. To promote it, Enclave Leader Youri Koeman of Taedong started the MPPCA, in a way to make this an common Esports in micronationalism and outisde.

The matches are played 1v1 trough Discord. Players use an Gameboy emulator on PC to play the game. Controllers are allowed. Players play a best of 3 match system. The player who wins 2 out of the 3 sets wins the game.

The Game

Pokémon Puzzle Challenge is a game, made for the Gameboy Color. The goal of the game is earning as much points as possible, while the pile of blocks is getting higher and higher. Points are earned when a player can place at least 3 blocks of the same color on a horizontal or vertical row. The game was released in 2000, making it a retro game.
