Migir Republic

Migir Republic (Czech: Migirská republika) is a micronation located in the south of the Czech Republic which is its only neighbour.

Flag

The colors of national flag of Migir Republic were borrowed from Slavic colors. The white lion represents peace, power and liberty (therefore it's white). Its nine stripes represent Migir Republic's original 4 territories and 5 citizens it started with. There is currently an ongoing debate whether the flag should change or stay the same since March 15, 2023.

Basic information

The Migir Republic is a micronation located on the south of Czech Republic. It's independency was declared on August 2, 2020. Migir Republic has 5 citizens as of July 15 2023. Migir Republic was a part of UMO (United Micronational Organisation) (since 24 October) and on 4 November was accepted in UMEC (United Micro Elite Community). As of 15 March 2023, Migir Republic isn't a part of any organisations because it made a 13-month disappearance.

The Migir Republic is divided into four regions. These regions are not adjacent to each other.

The republic does not have access to the sea and no river flows there.

Government

Migir Republic is a republic so it has a president and a parliament with two other members. Migir Republic was declared on 2 August 2020. Migir Republic has currently 5 citizens.

Climate and weather

Temperature is measured only in the original region of the micronation. Higher or lower temperatures may have occured in the other 3 regions.

Every summer the temperature reaches at least 35 °C (95 °F) and every winter the temperature drops under -10 °C (14 °F). On July 15, 2023 the highest temperature reached 40.8 °C breaking the 11 months old record from August 2022 (40.0 °C) by 0.8 °C (1.4 °F).

Currency

Migir Republic does not have it's own currency (yet). Migir Republic uses any currency as long as it has the value it should have. Overall most used used currency is the Czech crown.

The official religion of Migir Republic is Christianity.

National sports

Official national sport is cycling. Almost all citizens go cycling when the weather is nice. Another popular sports are football and mountain climbing.
