History

The CNS Moonstone was originally a mail ship, designated to carry mail from the Cristorian Empire to the US via the Maumee River.

Launch and Trials

She was launched on a boat ramp in Toledo and was christened using Coca-Cola. The date this event took place on was 7 March 2021.

The ship was declared seaworthy after sea trials on the Maumee River, her top speed was 2 knots (2 mph). She also floated smoothly along the river, making her the flagship of Christopher Lines.

Service

Soon after Moonstones' trials and launch, she was put into service for the Cristorian Mail Service (CMS). She was declared so useful that Emperor Christopher himself complemented the ship.

Moonstone entered the water rarely but did a good job according to her captain, Braedyn.

Moonstone set a record in Cristoria and for Christopher Lines for the fastest time up the Maumee River to Maumee Bay. Her total time was 4 hours, 18 minutes, and 47 seconds.

Service under Minutemen Lines

Shortly after the Cristorian Empire collapsed in August 2021, Christopher Lines became less popular. So, on 10 October 2021, Christopher Lines took a reform and went with a new name, thus founding Minutemen Lines.

The flag and logo was changed to a lightning bolt and a musket, showing Moonstone's record and Minutemen Lines' association with the Cristorian Navy.

The flag that was used was the Commonwealth Minutemen from Fallout 4.

Despite the change, Moonstone gained a sister, that being the New Toledo in August of 2021.

Moonstone did regular service between the Maumee and Lake Erie alongside New Toledo, delivering Cristorian mail to relatives of the Cristorian family that waited along the shoreline at Maumee Bay.

Service under Cristorian Lines

After Minutemen Lines failed tremendously, the line was finally changed and Moonstone was showing her age.

Moonstone was in Maumee Bay the same day the New Toledo accident happened, in fact, Moonstone towed her back.

The Cristorian Navy took ahold of her by renting her from Cristorian Lines, she was used as a military test vehicle and was used to carry supplies such as foods and goods for soldiers.

When inspections began in June of 2022, it was found that Moonstone had holes near her stern and her port side.

Towards the end of July of 2022, Moonstone was tied up and put into permanent layup, as she was deemed unsafe for going back out to sea.

Repairs will cost over $200-300 to fix the holes, according to the Cristorian Parliament. They plan to fix her in mid-2024 and if conditions worsen, she will be scrapped, according to the Parliament.
