The Most Noble Order of Merit is the oldest and highest award in the Athori honours system. It is awarded by the Monarch of Athor.
History
The order is the oldest in the Islamic Emirate of Athor. It was first established in the honours system and was formed on 23 December 2022 by Colin I.

The order is made up of 5 grades:
- Grand Cross
- Grand Officer
- Commander
- Officer
- Member
Awarded For
The order is awarded at the monarch's discretion but is primarily awarded for "meritorious acts of service that benefit the community or the nation" and can be awarded to both civilians and military personnel within Athor.
Precedence
The order is the highest in the honours system. It ranks above all other Athori decorations and as a result the post-nominals of the order come first before all others. Directly below the order in rank is the Military Order of Mohammad.
