The Prime Minister of Juniperia (Juniperian: Ayunipeârosén Fórsministéur), (Westavian: Jūnipærēn Liūescœs) is the head of goverment of the Commonwealth of Juniperia. It is the second highest position in Juniperia.

Name

The official name of the office is the Prime Minister of Juniperia or the Office of the Prime Minister of Juniperia officially.

Role and duties

The official job of the Prime Minister is to regulate and manage the government of Juniperia on behalf of the Sovereign. The Prime Minister is officially the head of government and thus presides over all institutions he has authority over. The Prime Minister also can appoint people to cabinet offices, such an act is known as "Cabinet picks".

History

Juniperia has seen four Prime Ministers and 1 President. The President of the Republic of Juniperia's powers were almost dictatorial, but for the sake of developing the nation. As the population grew rapidly, those in power became more democratic. The Presidential office was held by two parties due to Jha forming two parties, the Juniperian Democratic Union and the Peoples Coalition (JDU and PCoa respectively).

First Jha government

The First Jha Cabinet or the Jha I was the government chaired by Ishan Jha and consisted of a mostly wax or empty cabinet. Berain Ergen was made the Foreign minister and Pranav Kanse was made the Defence minister, during this time Juniperia was largely developmental and faced the Insurgency in Westavia, this made Jha unpopular amongst Westavians and led to a split in his party, Vision Juniperia, the party split into two. The Jha cabinet ended with his resignation on May 8th 2023.

First Ergen government

The First Ergen Cabinet or the Berain I was the largely inactive government led by Berain Ergen, a Turkish-born Juniperian citizen and friend of Ishan Jha. Berain was the leader of the Juniperian Peoples Front, which made him an unlikely contender, but he was elected unanimously due to support from Jha. His government is notorious for its inactivity and the vote of no-confidence led by George Chu in parliament. The vote passed and Ergen, presumably out of anger, left Juniperia.

First Xie government

The First Xie Cabinet or Eric I was the cabinet chaired by Eric Xie, the Duke of Pavillion. Xie was popular amongst Juniperia and was promulgated to the position upon the recommendation and nomination of Ishan Jha. Xie was made acting Prime Minister.

First Hoorizadeh government

After the 2023 general elections, Louie Hoorizadeh, a Juniperian of French and Iranian descent was made Prime Minister-elect.
