The Roscami Socialist Party (RSP) was an extralegal and unrecognized Roscami opposition party created by Jacob Gath. The party sought to introduce socialism to the Roscami Federation through a worker's revolution, and intended to bring down Thomas Jacobs as the leader of Roscamistan in favor of free and fair elections.

History

The Roscami Socialist Party was founded on February 7, 2024, after members of the Communist-Socialist coalition in the Parliament of Nyeusi became aware of the leftist struggle in Roscamistan. Jacob Gath, the leader of the Socialist Party, declared that "Roscamistan will meet the fate of the Russian Empire and the people will have their shackles removed."

In response to the creation of the party, Thomas Jacobs issued a decree condemning the party’s establishment. The party was officially banned in Roscamistan on February 8.

On February 11, the party was dissolved after the Nyeusi government found it too difficult to manage from afar.

Ideology

The Roscami Socialist Party was a party split into primarily two camps, one being Marxist and the other focusing primarily on opposing imperialism and fascism. The Marxist branch was mostly comprised of members from the Communist Party of Nyeusi, whereas the other branch had members of the Socialist and People's Parties.

The RSP subscribed to socialism, anti-imperialism, anti-Zionism, and was in favor of secular states running all governments across the world. It was against Thomas Jacobs and his leadership of Roscamistan, deeming him a dictator and the nation a Christo-fascist regime under his control. The party intended to democratize Roscamistan, while also de-radicalizing the nation's population and distancing Roscamistan from its fascist history.

Criticism

Upon discovering the creation of the party, President Jacobs announced that the RSP was barred from joining the Roscami Democratic Patriot Front and was officially dissolved [1]. He also stated that the Nyeusi Socialist Republic was a “terrorist state” and that if they did not cooperate by dissolving the party, brutal repercussions would occur. In response, Gath warned that the security of Roscamistan would be under threat if actions against Nyeusi were taken, and if leftists in Roscamistan were under threat.[2] The Nyeusi government also recognized Roscamistan as a "terror state."

Thomas Jacobs would respond to Gath's letter with a letter of his own, addressed to Jacob Gath, on the 10th [3]. Gath formally decommissioned the RSP on February 11, believing that a socialist revolution would come to Roscamistan in time. Elements of the party are alleged to be operating underground in various micronations. Jacobs commended the decision to disband the party.
