Rosgayistan, officially the Republic of Rosgayistan, was a fictional micronation in the west of the island of Ireland, officially located County Galway. The nation was later discovered to be fake and claimed no land.
History
The Republic of Rosgayistan claimed to be founded on the 16th of February 2023 by micronatioanlists Simon Shotson and Joe Mommy. The leaders Simon Shotson and Joe Mommy stated that they had met up in central Galway to sign the proclamation of the republic. This later turned out to be false. It was said to be created as a safe haven for individuals affected by the Anti-Sexual Degeneracy Act[1] in Rosgayistan's counterpart: the Republic of Roscamistan. In March 2023, it was revealed that the nation did not actually exist.
Politics and Government
The Republic was led by the President of Rosgayistan. Their deputy was the Vice-President of Rosgayistan. Simon Shotson and Joe Mommy were President and Vice-president respectively until the nations dissolution. Meetings between government members took place on the Rosgayistan Discord server.
Political parties
There was only on party in Rosgayistan, the LGBTQI+ rights party. Its logo was the progressive pride flag which also serves as a symbol of the pride movement.
