History

Government
The nation of Skirand is a constitutional monarchy, there are two houses in the Chantry, which is the name given to the nation’s legislature, the People of Skirand is the lower house of the Chantry, it has the power to propose ideas to the upper house of the Chantry, the Lords of the House, who get to make the final decision on whether or not a law is passed.
Culture And Media
Skirand’s culture is close to Celtic culture, as the nation is located in Glasgow in Scotland. Much like the other Kolniari nations, the nation is located in a part of Glasgow where Irish immigrants came in the late 19th century and early 20th century.
Languages
Scots is the main language spoken in Skirand, it is used both formally and informally, and is used in the Chantry regularly. Scottish Gaelic and Irish are also recognised languages in the nation. Polish and Spanish are considered regional languages as they are not officially used by government but some of the population speak these languages.

As Skirand is located in Scottish territory, most Scottish, Irish and some English shows are very popular in Skirish media such as Still Game, Derry Girls, Two Doors Down, The Inbetweeners, Superstore and a multitude of Marvel movies.
