The Supreme Commanding General of Arstotzkan High Command is the highest achievable rank that one can achieve in Arstotzkan High Command. The Supreme Commanding General is the head of Arstotzkan High Command and serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Arstotzkan Executive War Council, they are also fourth in the chain of command regarding the People's Armed Forces of the Arstotzkan Union.
The role of Supreme Commanding General was created with the founding of Arstotzkan High Command on 14 September 2020 and its first holder was Ethan Brinkman. Ethan held it for nearly 18 months before passing an Executive Presidential Order and handed the command to General Peter Gedye. Since then it has remained in Peters hands.
From 2020 until 2023 there were no official guidelines on who could become Supreme Commanding General and for much of its history it was a position appointed by the First President until the passing of the Armed Forces Act which outlined the position of Supreme Commanding General in relation to other high ranking members of the People's Armed Forces chain of command.

History
With the creation of Arstotzkan High Command, the National Assembly of the Arstotzkan Union appointed Ethan Brinkman on his advice to the position of Supreme Commanding General with Piran McGee as Superior Commanding General and Tyler Brazier to the position of Secondary Superior Commanding General. For much of the roles history it was unclear what the title entailed and was seen as someone who just ran High Command. From 14 September 2020 till 26 October 2021 the role was actually an official rank in the Arstotzkan Union Defense Forces until the First President passed Executive Presidential Order 0001 and the current ranking structure was implemented and the heads of Arstotzkan High Command were removed from being official ranks in the AUDF.
The role sat like this for many more months until on 22 June 2023 with the passing of the Armed Forces Act, the role was given official duties. These include, being codified as the head of Arstotzkan High Command, fourth in command of the People's Armed Forces, acting as the Deputy Chairman of the Arstotzkan Executive War Council and having the power to advise and run Council sessions when the General of the People's Armed Forces is unavailable.
