The Tensions is an ongoing major territorial dispute in the Republic of Dostykstan over the nation’s land. The dispute started on 5 November 2022 when the Kingdom of Super Shrek declared independence and claimed half of Dostykstan’s territory following an attack with a can of deodorant by a militant group known as the MVPs, soon followed by a deal which led to the MVPs claiming Eastern Dostykstan.
Timeline
The Tensions started on 5 November 2022 when a militant organisation known as the MVPs staged an attack on the Republic of Dostykstan with a can of deodorant. When the attack happened, Dostykstani citizens began fleeing and one of the MVPs’ members, Tristan, decided that the time was right to make an assassination attempt on President DRG. He cornered the President but was asked to make a deal, and demanded half of Dostykstan. The deal was accepted because he had a gun, resulting in the split of Dostykstan, in the west of the country is the Republic of Dostykstan, in the east is the Kingdom of Super Shrek, and surrounded by the Kingdom of Super Shrek is a very small nation known as the Republic of MVP, a nation created by the leader of the MVPs because of his dislike of Tristan and the new Kingdom of Super Shrek.
Kolniaric Union premature declaration of war
On 6 November 2022, the Kolniaric Union declared war on the Kingdom of Super Shrek prematurely, believing that civil war had already broken out. In the statement, the alliance denounced the nation and the ‘unoriginality of another Shrek micronation’ and in another statement given the next day, Emperor Aaron I also claimed that another reason for war was because of Shrek’s Scottish accent sounding ‘unrealistic’. The Sprinske Empire, Union of the Free and the Catanese Republic are currently in a state of war with the Kingdom of Super Shrek despite no other escalations as of yet. The union also announced that despite declaring war, they did not intend to physically fight the Kingdom of Super Shrek due to both Super Shrek and Dostykstan being in Kazakhstan whilst all of the Kolniaric nations are in Scotland.
Kingdom of Super Shrek Coup
On 8 November, the Kingdom of Super Shrek was dissolved when a coup overthrew the government. The nation was replaced by Grapestan, a nation that has so far eased the tensions. The Republic of MVP managed to increase their territory as well, and as of 8 November, the future of the Dostyk Sector is still a mystery.
