National Symbols
The USARs national dish is Spaghetti with Sausage. This is because its a dish liked by all the Party members. Its national animal is the beaver, in honor of the first Leader of the nation, who was nicknamed "Beaverman"
KΠCC (Коммунистическая партия Советского Союза)
The USARs ruling party, the ΚΠCC (pronounced Ke-pe-es-es) is the successor of the Supreme Soviet of Oceania. It has 12 members ,the most famous of whom are: Mr A, Mr V, Minister of internal affairs, Grand Admiral. All the party members have power over the citizens and are the only ones who can take decisions. No other official is allowed to.
One can only join the party via invitation from an inside member. All members of the Party know each other personaly and this is the key to its stabillity. All members have been awarded the physical version of the Hero of the USAR
Introduction
The Union of Soviet Antarctican Republics (U.S.A.R.) is a Stalinist micronation that was founded by a person nicknamed "Mr A" in 2019. It's main territory is located in Antartica, while also holding a few territories in Greece. It has a population of 93 people. It's claimed territory includes some lands and islands in Greece, however these are marked as "Controlled Territory" and not as official land. It also has multiple cities, ioanuoupolis, Swampgrad, Anacondia and Marxia. It has a long history, dating from 2019 and up to present day. Its constitution was created in 2020 and was written down in 2021.
Organization and politics
The nation is based on syntiritism-stalinism. It uses its secret police the "E.T.T.A-KGB" to enforce the law to its citizens. Due to harsh punishments to law breakers, the USAR has achieved law stability. The Union is a one-party state, the politics being dominated by the KΠCC (The Communist Party of the USAR) and it's 11 members, and it is lead by the General Secretary, Mr. A, the Vice chairman, the Minister of Defence/Grand Admiral, as well as the minister of internal affairs,who are the most important figures in the government of the nation. Another prominent national figure is Hatari, vailant USAR war hero
Full general and millitary history
The USAR has a strong military of 43 enlisted personnel, armed mostly with melee weapons and has a navy composed of 2 ships. It has been involved in 3 wars from it's formation. Upon enlistment,USAR army personell may request a Standard Soviet Army Knife (crafted in a way that it is incapable of hurting a human [tested ]).High ranking officials can have special weapons like the Admirals dagger and the Marshals blade. The USAR has fought against local greek micronations but it has also taken part in the VECTO-USR war of July 2023 and the invasion of the USAR of August 2023.
The 1st Era and the begining.
As early as late 2016 it is noted that large groups had started to form. These groups had a very advanced structure, having ragistration catalogs, awarding systems and field mail. The groups were separated into trade groups, that were trading items with individuals or other groups and raid groups which (as the name suggests) were raiding trade groups to obtain valuables or they engaged in battles with eachother (ex. Battle of the Quartz Hilltop, April 2017). Some however were doing the oposite and recieved valuables in order to defend traders. Many were respected by traders or individuals, who would often join them.
Although none of these groups had yet the goal to create a nation, some members of them served the USAR later on and provided the knoledge needed to create the nations structure.
Each groups ideology would differ, and with more than 6 of these organisations known to have existed, there would be many ideologies involved.The leadership was usually assigned to the founder. The groups would often dissolve and return with the same structure but different leadership.
In late 2017-early 2018 however the groups started collapsing. It is unknown why but it is suspected that the traders collapsed first because of lack of buyers and the raiders followed, because of the lack of targets/people to defend.It is known that untill December 2018 all groups had collapsed/were near collapse.
The 2nd Era and the formation of a national ideal.
Soon after the collapse of the last groups (unknown, estimated to be January 2019), an organization called O.C.C. was founded by Mr.A. This was the first organization to have the creation of a micronation as a goal (though the term "micronation" was not used at the time.). O.C.C. was founded in June 15 2019, which is celebrated until the present day as the "USAR independence day". The OCC was not communist like the present day USAR. Mr A, was considered to be the "Leader of All" commonly refered to as "the Leader" and the nation was ruled by him and 2 ministers, the minister of defence and outer politics and the minister of internal affairs. OCCs currency was the phoinix that was minted in the OCCs private mint. It did not have online citizens , because the Leader thought that OCC was unique and therefore a low profile should be kept. This led to OCC not communicating via Reddit or Discord because its government was not aware of other micronations existance untill 2023. Later on, in the beginning of 2020, inspired from the communist ideals of the former USSR, the Leader turned OCC into its communist succesor, U.S.S.C.
The 3d Era: the rise and fall of USSC
USSC had a very similar political structure to OCC. The Leader was always above all and the ministers were his only assistance. However, the word "communism", disappointed some of the oldest right wing members that came from the collapse of the first groups in 2019 and the nation witnessed its first ever population crisis, since many people left, leaving behind very few of the oldest members. On top of that there was another problem: the 3 goverment members were not enough, and the decisions were taken slowly. This eventually led to economical crisis and everything stopped working. In order to fix this, the Leader introduced the Supreme Soviet of the USSC, where every citizen could join and help (ironically however only 9 people joined and they still are members of the present day ΚΠCC). Eventually, the conditions got better. To solve the population problem, the Leader ordered everyone to invite everyone they knew to the nation. Since the decisions were now taken with normal speed, the USSC also got over its economical crisis.
The economical problems were unfortunately far from over. In early 2020 the USSC run out of resources for the currency. This time, the Leader tasked his minister of defence to solve the problem. The minister attempted to publish emergency currency, which was basically coins made out of scrap, but the idea never proceeded and the very few coins made were never released to the public. The minister, in a final try to avoid complete failure, turned the phoinix into a cyber currency. Transactions would be possible by moving money in or out of peoples accounts or via checks. The idea worked out well and the phoinix would continue being the national currency until 3 years later. For this feat, he was awarded the Silver Cross of the Redeemer
The USSCs problems however would continue once more.
In winter 2020, the USSC would face a second population crisis due to loss of interest, much more catastrophical than the first. The Supreme Soviet then, in order to save the country, passed the widely known, infamous "161020 citizen leaveabillity" law, which made it so once a person is registered in the registration catalogs, it could cut off contact with the nation but it would be considered a citizen forever (except if the Leader placed a ban on this person). This tactic for one more time saved the nation, because the people realized that either they leave or stay it would be the same thing, so many preferred not to cut off contact.
2021 found USSC in the middle of complete distraction and complete success. The fate of the nation would now depend on the next months.
In summer 2021 though it was noted by the Supreme Soviet that the people did not try to leave but were instead complaining on the lack of interest of the nation. Meanwhile, a new personality, that would-sooner or later- become the next Leader of the nation started being more active in the Supreme Soviet. This person was none other than the 2nd Mr A, also known as Mr.V. Back then he was serving as minister of internal affairs but he is leading USAR in the modern days.
He, along with the minister of Defence, proposed an idea to spice up things, and the idea was done.In July 2021 USSC dissolved to Peoples Republic of South Oceania or commonly Oceania (because its coast was located in the south arctic ocean).
The 4th Era: Oceania, the peak and the downfall.
This worked out and 2021-2022 turned out to be the nations Golden Era. Oceanian economy thrived and the people were assigned to research and army posts while they could have their own business. In march 2022, the researches that were completed now allowed the nation to prepare to send a balloon to the stratosphere while many other advancements took place. In Summer 2022 Oceania even created a minecraft server which allowed the citizens to have fun together. The nation had a huge technological boost while the first national chat platform was established. Theater plays in the server were liked by almost everyone. It was a "Communist Paradise".
But then it happened.
Everything took a nasty turn, when in September 2022 Oceania faced its 4th and most catastrophic population loss. People had all of a sudden lost interest and this was because the Supreme Soviet was now no longer allowing any new members. People terminated contact with the HQ and abandoned their posts. The Supreme Soviet made some attempts like it had done all those years but in everyone's surprise nothing worked as planned.
The nation would survive only by the 11 members of the Supreme Soviet for the next 10 months.
This led to the Leader taking a break from the nation and finally resigning in early April 2023. Elections were held by the 10 remaining people and the former minister of internal affairs,Mr A, would become the new leader. In the end of April, Oceania's name was changed back to USSC but hours later it would be changed to U.S.A.R.
The 5th Era: The Micronational War period.
The USAR would only recover in May 2023 when the Minister of Outer Politics (and newly promoted grand admiral) of the USAR persuaded members to return and the population went to 43 people. The crisis was officially over in July 2023 when USAR joined reddit and discord, gathering 52 more members.The USAR made sientific researches that led to many technological advancements. Its team of scientists created the soviet Museum of World History that is available only to the Soviet people. It also developed new weapons and thrived in economy. In August 2023 the USAR participated in the great attacks against USR by taking over (for a brief period) r/micronation from its nazi leadership.
The Post-war era and the present day
In february 5 ,2024 Almendria was completely destroyed after a 1 year long war. The USAR continued to thrive, even planning a space mission. Ita history therefore, continues till the present day.
Attitude towards minorities.
The USAR is not a racist nation and accepts all people regardless of their race, gender, religion etc. However according to the conctitution, people who change their gender or people who do not identify as humans, are concidered mentally ill or banned from the nation.This is done due to the USAR beeing strictly traditionalist, therefore rejecting postmodernitist ideals.
Currency
The USAR uses as currency the Greek- after 1960- drachma (DRC,GDR). 100 soviet drachma = 1 dollar. The USAR therfore uses the entire ammount of Drachma in the world ( 973,5 Trillion). Previous currency of the USAR used to be the Phoinix (PH). 1 copper Phoinix (~200 minted) was worth 0,5$ while a silver phoinix ( none minted ), was worth 1,6 €. The Phoinix was established in 2020 and swapped with the Drachma in 2022
National products
The USAR has been known in its local society for some of its products. Among others, the USAR exports tangerine quartz gemstones. The gems are mined from the Quartz Hilltop (see also: Battle of the Quartz Hilltop#Introduction)that is rich in tangerine quartz (hence the name).The quartz is then collected, washed and, if possible, proccesed. Each piece of quartz is marked as -A, A or +A, depending on its quality.++A category exists but ++A pieces are very rare and can cost up to 10 €. The USAR also exports pottery (rarely), paintings, wooden logs, metal, parts, gemstones and decorative props.
