Basistha (Hindi: वशिष्ठ, Bengali: বশিষ্ঠ) is a state in southern Vishwamitra covering areas near the Basistha Temple and Basistha river of the city of Guwahati, Assam. The state is bordered by Beltola from which it was bifurcated on 7 May 2017. English, Hindi, Bengali and Assamese are the official languages of Basistha.

Basistha is an absolute monarchy with the Rajpramukh of Basistha being the executive head of state and head of government of the state.
