Brandon Wu is the founder and current President of the State of Galveston, an imperial state in the Empire of Paravia. He had established the State of Galveston on June 2, 2015 after the dissolution of the Federated States of America, a micronation he had co-founded with friends Henry Twain and John Churchill. He is currently also a member of the Reichsversammlung representing the Grand Principality of Teodoria, affiliated with the Independence Party of Abelden. Also, he represents Galveston in the Chamber of Delegates in Paravia. Wu joined the Palatinate of Uberquiesenberg and is now also representing the micronation in the Grand Unified Micronational, although Uberquiesenberg is still a provincial member. Wu also joined the Essian Commonwealth, being affiliated with the Green Party of Esse. There, he was named Earl of Brandonsbuier, and elected to represent Atlantis. He currnetly holds the position of Chief Attorney in government.
Wu was a co-founder of the now-defunct United Future Party, creating the party in Mercia with Hugh McFarlane after the former People's Democratic Party had collapsed. The party was in government in a coalition from 1 September 2017 until 1 October 2017. Wu is still a Member of Parliament to this day, however, Merica has now become inactive. He was also a citizen in Mcarthia, Nolland, and Noland when those micronations had been active.
In November 2016, Wu had left the community for a hiatus, not notifying anyone that he was leaving. He resigned all positions before leaving, and also had Henry Twain appointed as the President of Galveston while he was gone. He returned on 8 June 2017, and reassumed activity in previous micronations he had been in that with active citizen bodies.
Early life
Wu was born in urban Texas and in his early years, lived in a suburb outside a huge urban area. By the age of eight, Wu had become very interested in political ideologies such as communism and fascism. By age 11, he had formed a political stance on many macronational issues, identifying as a centrist with views similar to a libertarian.
Micronational career
Wu was first introduced to micronationalism from fellow micronationalist Henry Twain and joined the Federated States of America as the vice president. After a scandal within the executive branch involving Wu not petitioning the government and threteaning to overthrow Twain's presidency, he left the FSA (as well as all other members of the FSA) and formed his own micronation, the Republic of Galveston. At this time, Wu also decided to become a citizen of Nolland and Mercia. He joined the Liberal Party and the Humanist People's Alliance, respectively. After inactivity issues within his own micronation, he dissolved Galveston and joined the reformed Federated States, the Atlantic Commonwealth. After more inactivity problems and a huge argument, everyone let the nation but Twain and Wu, Twain dissolved the Atlantic Commonwealth, and then soon formed the The Quetican Islands. They worked collaboratively in government, despite Twain getting into an argument with John Churchill and Wu regarding the democratic process.
Meanwhile in Mercia, on the 15th of May, 2016 - Wu was re-elected to Loringia representing the PDP. Circumstances in that election, due to NLP inactivity, led Wu's party, the PDP, to join the Government Coalition later that day - along with the Green-Socialist and Social Democratic party members to oppose a fourth NLP term. On the 28th of May 2016, Baron von Uberquie successfully motioned a Vote of No Confidence in the Earl Eden's Premiership which resulted in the eventual election of Baron Whyatt as First Minister. Wu subsequently was appointed Minister for Charity & Commerce.
Throughout 2016, Wu also joined Nolland, Noland, Mcarthia, Abelden, and incorporated his own country Galveston into Paravia as a federal state. He became an MP in Abelden, as the first minister in Skandberg as well as an active member of the Chamber of Delegates in Paravia. However, by the end of 2016, Wu had become burnt out and over-stressed about micronationalism, and announced his resignation from all offices in micronationalism, as well as appointing Henry Twain as President of Galveston. He soon left on a hiatus starting in November 2016, and did not return until June 2017. On 8 June 2017, Wu had decided to come back to micronationalism, in which he became active again in Abelden and Paravia. Unfortunately, many micronations he had previously joined like Nolland, Noland, and Mcarthia had fallen inactive, and did not pursue continual activity in those micronations. Wu then proceded to join the Essian Commonwealth and Uberquiesenberg, where he has had much success. In Uberquiesenberg, he became Freiherr Wu, representing the Barony of Grauser, and currently also represents the micronation in the Grand Unified Micronational. In the Essian Commonwealth, he became the Earl of Brandonsbuier, and won election in June 2017. This led to him being appointed as Essian Chief Attorney under Heaminister James Frisch.
