The Neeburmian Conservative Party is a right-wing political party in the Republic of Neeburm that wants to establish a more powerful central government and bring more power to the Prime Minister of Neeburm. It was founded by Carter Richardson, the Prime Minister, the current January 31, 2024, during the January polls. Carter wanted to give more power to the Prime Minister and less to the Grand Council.

Ideology and policies

The Neeburmian Conservative Party is right-wing and conservative. The Neeburmian Conservative Party's goals and policies include:

• A strong, centralized government
• A powerful Prime Minister
• Less power to the Grand Council
• A more important role for the Vice Minister
• A revision of the current voting system
• Anti-abortion unless the mother's life is threatened.
• Opposition to a full separation of church and state.
• Anti-communism/socialism

Recent Updates

The party is currently struggling to see significant growth compared to the Centrist Party. The two parties are currently collaborating in order to amend the constitution and hold proper elections. Talk has even come up of a complete mend of the ideological differences between the two (especially concerning the power of the Prime Minister) and a possible combination of parties. Russell Webster has become the secretary (second-in-command). Recently, ideas of merging with the Centrist Party in opposition to the Communist Party have been springing up. Grand Council Member Ashton Hall has joined the party, giving the Conservatives a presence in the Grand Council. Following the March 2024 Elections, Carter Richardson became the Prime Minister, while Ashton Hall retained his post

Leadership

The chairman of the party is Carter Richardson, the Prime Minister of Neeburm.

History

Carter Richardson was a key figure in the January Constitution for the Republic of Neeburm. The Constitution installed a powerful grand council. With the rise of the Jardine Administration, Carter Richardson believed that the Prime Minister held less power than the Grand Council and founded the party in order to strengthen the position of the Prime Minister. He founded the Conservative party based on this belief on January 31.

The main opposition to the party came the next day on February 1, when Corban Smith founded the Neeburmian Centrist Party. Corban then started spreading rumors stating that Richardson hoped to create a dictatorship out of Neeburm. The two parties became rivals until relations began to thaw following agreements between Carter and Corban to reform the electoral system as well as amend the constitution. After Russell became the chairperson of the party, the Communist Party was founded, which is majorly opposed by the Conservative Party. A major change came when Ashton Hall, a member of the Grand Council, decided to run again for Grand Council Member as a Conservative.

In the March 2024 Elections, Carter Richardson won and became the Prime Minister of Neeburm. With Ashton Hall in the Grand Council, the Conservatives gained a massive foothold in the government.`
