It was ratified on 8 January 2021 at 8:24 AM EST with the completion of a unanimous vote.

History

On 1 October 2020, the writing of the Canon Governing Document of the Kingdom of Northwood-Oregon by King Carson begun behind closed doors. This was changed on 15 October when suggestions and monitoring were allowed between the leaders of the Kingdom. On 9 November, sections of the Canon Governing Document were completely rewritten to allow for non-royal leaders following the introduction of the first non-royal leader in the form of the Oriel of the Osme Free State. Writing would continue to stall until 10 December when King Carson would enlist the help of Duke Grant to assist in the writing of the document. It is theorized, although not officially confirmed by any source, that this move was prompted due to the events of the Kingsland Insurrection. The original writing of the Canon Governing Document would conclude on 16 December with an additional minor changed being made on 26 December.

On 28 December 2020 a voice meeting initially planned on 20 December was conducted. In attendance were King Carson Snyder, Duke Grant Bruns, Duke Lucas Daniel, and Duchess Kaitlyn Huber. Among other agenda pieces, a discussion and vote on the Canon Governing Document were scheduled and held. After discussion on the document, no changes were found to be needed by the attendees, with affirmative votes being cast by all attending members.[1] On 7 January 2021 another voice meeting was held with King Carson Snyder, Queen Sarah Freck, Prince Andrew Stuller, Duke Grant Bruns, Duke Nicholas Abbott, and Duke Theo Porter III in attendance. Duke Theo Porter would vote aye on the Canon Governing Document at 1:50 PM EST with Queen Sarah Freck, Prince Andrew Stuller, and Duke Nicholas Abbott finalizing their affirmative votes at 2:29 PM EST.[2] The next day on 8 January, Kale Scarberry, Duke of Scarberriville voted aye to the Canon Governing Document at 8:24 AM EST, completing the unanimous vote required to pass the document and officially bringing it into effect.
