The Laskaridian Monarchy, formally referred to as the King of Laskaridia (Westavian: Reix Laskaridos) is the head of state and de-facto head of government of the Kingdom of Laskaridia, its role is ceremonial and governmental. Laskaridia operates under a benevolent dictatorship due to its small size, therefore the King is the de-facto head of state and head of government, though power is delegated to the Lord Chancellor of Laskaridia at the discretion of the monarch.

Duties

The Monarch is responsible for the representation and protection of the subjects of the crown, as well as the nation's diplomatic integrity and protection of its values overseas and outside its borders. The monarch of Laskaridia may not be removed from office, and is expected by the people and government to act in the nation's best interest.
