The Elarian federal elections held in March 2024 were the third federal elections of the Empire of Ela'r'oech since the establishment of the positions of Chancellor and President. Elected offices for this election were the Chancellery and Presidency. Sir Jaden Armstrong served as the incumbent Chancellor.

In this election, no one ran for President.

Background

Procedure

In order to become a candidate, a nomination form must first be completed, stating full name, micronational address, party affiliation and signature, and returned to the current Head of Election Committee; they become a candidate as soon as the Committee declares their nomination valid. The Election Committee is required to make nomination forms available as soon as possible after an election is called. Candidates may withdraw at any time before the elections.

All candidates standing in federal elections must be over the age of 15.

Candidate eligibility

You cannot run for public office in Ela'r'oech if you are a convict, felon, terrorist, or spy in the nation. Additionally, all previous Prime Ministers of the nation and those representing an executive public office in the previous incarnation of the Empire of Ela'r'oech are eligible to run for any public office which will be elected in the federal elections.

Results

No territories or states voted early in these elections, and Ela'r'oech News Source did not have live updates as usual. The results led to a near-sweep for Jaden Armstrong in comparison to Clark and Jacobs. In hindsight, these results were blamed on both Clark and Jacobs splitting the conservative vote of the Empire, allowing Armstrong to secure the moderate, liberal, and centre-right votes.

The final results were as follows;

Name Party Wing Electoral votes Popular vote (Percentage estimate)
Jaden Armstrong Ela'r'oech Lew Elaroek Traditional Wing 13/36 (36%) 44.2%
Terry Jacobs Ela'r'oech Lew Elaroek Traditional Wing 12/36 (33%) 36.5%
Ian Clark Ela'r'oech Lew Elaroek Traditional Wing 11/36 (31%) 19.2%
