Karnia-Ruthenia is the first nation of the Brazilian sector to have established bilateral relations with the Federal Republic of Forestia, doing so on 4 February 2023. Discussions of diplomacy between the two began on 18 January, with a cooperation document being created on 26 January and signed on 4 February. Both nations are members of the Conference of Santiago.

History

Forestia was first approached by Karnia-Ruthenia on 8 May 2022, with discussions continuing across the year. On 18 January 2023, Forestia offered to engage in diplomacy, which was accepted by Karnia-Ruthenia on 4 February. On 23 April, the Forestian Ministry of Foreign Affairs discussed the nation's wish to become part of the Conference of Santiago, which was approved on 14 June.
