The Governor of Riveshire is the head of government of the Riveshire Province. The governor serves as the vice-regal representative of the King of Laskaridia (not to be confused with the Seneschal, the royal and ceremonial head) and the ceremonial deputy head-of-state as well as the ceremonial deputy to the Seneschal of Riveshire. The governor sometimes assists the Seneschal in ceremonial duties and can act as head of state in the absence of a Seneschal.
The position came into place after the foundation of the Province of Riveshire. The Governor's office is currently held by Aran Mark Daniel, the Lord Daniel. The Governor of the Province's main duties are the preside over the Provincial Assembly of Riveshire , Donnauberg's local devolved legislative chamber.
The deputy to the Governor of the Province is the Lieutenant Governor , who assists the Governor in discharging his duties officially. And taking the place of the Governor between absences in the Governor's tenure. The current Governor is able to create and form a cabinet, which has several positions.
