Multiplex Technical, more informally referred to as MultiTech or Multiplex, was a state owned corporation owned by the Free State of Renasia and overseen by its ruling council, the Guntanu'tl. Named for the process of multiplexing (linking multiple data stream in order to have them function as one), the corporation was established in August of 2014 with the passing of the Multiplexing Act (2014) in the Guntanu'tl. The act passed with a margin of four supporting votes to no opposition, with a single abstention by reason of absence. The act itself describes the role of Multiplex Technical as follows:

"Multiplex Technical (MultiTech) is designed as a for-profit state-run business, the profits of which feed back into the Free State’s Federal budget. Under the direct control of the Guntanu’tl and the administration of an appointed president, it will amalgamate all current and future technical and scientific industries in the Free State in order to create an integrated and streamlined technical research and development sector in the economy of the Free State. It will penetrate all layers of Renasian economic and political organization in order to be most effective.
Structurally, it will consist of mostly self-organized regional subsidiaries and their departments, within the Federal overview of a corporate umbrella system, itself under the watchful eye of the Guntanu’tl."

Multiplex Technical was disbanded with the official dissolution of Renasia on May 5th, 2015.

Structure

Multiplex Technical was arranged into three levels of modular organisation. The highest, Federal level was made up of modules known collectively as Federal bodies, including advisory councils, overseeing boards and other entities whose power was devolved from the President. The President appointed these bodies, and could dissolve or create them at will after having given the Guntanu'tl 48 hours' notice. The President was appointed by, and their power in turn devolved from, the Guntanu'tl. Being a state-owned corporation, the Guntanu'tl cou;d be considered the owners and board of directors within the corporate structure.
Below the Federal level of organisation was the Regional level of organisation: regional entities were known as subsidiaries and these have administration over an entire Special Autonomous Region (SAR). Whilst not all SARs had a subsidiary, any wishing to create a state-run technical business had to first establish a subsidiary. Subsidiaries appointed a liaison to relay information to the Federal level, either to the President or a Federal body established for subsidiary liaison. Subsidiaries themselves were then made up of units, which specialized in a given project or a small group of related projects. The organisation of units within a subsidiary was at the discretion of the subsidiary itself, so long as a liaison is appointed.
Structures between organisations were always considered to belong to the level above them: thus, a committee shared between two units was a subsidiary entity, and a collaboration between subsidiaries was considered a Federal level entity. The logical exception to this rule is any Federal-to-Federal interaction, which could not be above Federal level.

Aims

As a force in society, Multiplex Technical aimed to both unite and spur on the forces of technological advancement within Renasia. By allowing greater synergy between regional state-owned companies and in creating an umbrella structure which could co-ordinate both intranational and international co-operation, Multiplex Technical also aimed to aid other technology centers in allied nations. One of the founding convictions of Multiplex is that what is good for any one of us can be harnessed for the good of all of us, if only there exists a mechanism. Thus, Multiplex aimed to form that mechanism aiding both the citizens and companies of Renasia and those of their allies.
As a force in the economy, Multiplex of course aimed to provide a profit to its owner, the Free State of Renasia, such that it might serve the Renasian people both through the generation of desirable and useful products and through helping the state fund social programs. Additionally, Multiplex intended to become one of the first true large scale players on the scene of intermicronational economics, encouraging trade in from outside Renasia as well as setting a standard and example; first and foremost, an example of how a successful micronational corporation can be run productively; secondly, an example of the powerful fusion of socialist and capitalist ideas that state capitalism can provide economically and socially.
Finally, as a force for progress, Multiplex Technical aimed to foster an environment conducive to research and development both through internal collaboration and through working with Renasian allies. To this end, Multiplex Technical wished to develop technologies which foster the economic, social and cultural independence of micronations from their surrounding macronations: in doing so, Multiplex wished to help spur the micronational community to consider that true freedom, in time, may be possible.
