Incumbent President

Alexandre Olivier
Georgienstine First

The 2024 Georgienstinian presidential election will be held on 18 July 2024, with a potential second round on 1 August 2024 if no candidate wins a majority in the first round. The incumbent president is Alexandre Olivier.

Candidates

Georgienstine First

Alexandre Olivier was elected President in the 2023 presidential election under Georgienstine First, receiving 42.3% of the vote in the first round and 57.7% in the second round. He has yet to comment on a potential re-election bid in 2024 for a second term.

If Olivier retires, multiple individuals have been floated as potential successors for the GF nomination. Vice President Roy Jackson is seen as the natural successor by many, due to his position as second in charge. Former Vice President Ali Farrokhzad who challenged Olivier for the nomination in 2023 could make another run for the nomination. Congressman Aidan Clifford and former president Raphaël Olivier have also been viewed as potential candidates, due to their long experience in the party.

Majority Leader Matthew Tonna declined to run for the nomination through a press statement.

Potential

Declined

  • Matthew Tonna, Speaker of the National Congress, Chief Justice

Left Bloc

Left Bloc nominee Minority Leader Nicolas Caiazzo lost the 2023 presidential election to Alexandre Olivier, receiving 34.6% in the first round and 42.3% in the second. Despite his defeat, Caiazzo continued to lead the party and remained as Minority Leader, and was seen by many as a frontrunner to win the party's nomination again. However, Caiazzo declined to run for the nomination in a press statement. On 27 November 2023, Caiazzo resigned as party leader and endorsed Chet Chetson for president.

Congressman, party leader and Caiazzo's running mate Chet Chetson is seen as a potential candidate by many, having been alongside Caiazzo throughout the election and having been endorsed by him. Minority Whip Connor Hetner has also been floated as a potential candidate, having served alongside Caiazzo as a congressional floor leader, with Caiazzo as Minority Leader and Hetner as Minority Whip. Congressional Minority Leader and party chairman Esty Carpentieri has also been floated as a potential candidate and has been seen by many as the de facto party's leader and spokesperson.

Congressman and three-time presidential nominee Ben Olson declined to run for the nomination.

  • Chet Chetson, member of the National Congress, candidate for vice president in 2023

Labour Democratic

Labour Democratic nominee Governor Sullivan Matthews received 7.7% of the vote in the first round of the 2023 presidential election. Matthews is a perennial candidate, having run numerous times for president, governor, and congress, having led numerous parties, albeit receiving few votes.

On 26 November 2023, party leader Sullivan Matthews registered his candidacy with the FEC and announced his third presidential bid, with Dante-Winchester Thanos as his running mate. Both were nominated as the LDP's president and vice president nominees, respectively. On 29 November 2023, Matthews and Winchester-Thanos were nominated by the large Red Front party along with the Reform Party. The newfound alliance between the LDP and the far-left Red Front led to several members led by Tobey Wyles leaving the party and many joining the newly founded Progressive Party, which in turn joined the Vision Georgienstine alliance. On 2 February 2024, the Reform Party was deregistered by its leader Renzo Wessels, as it was facing imminent deregistration by the Federal Electoral Commission due to a lack of members. On 7 February 2024, the Red Front was deregistered by its leader Hunt Powell.

Nominee

  • Sullivan Matthews, member of the National Congress, candidate for president in 2022, 2023
    • Running mate: Dante Winchester-Thanos, member of the National Congress, candidate for vice president in 2022
