The Stewartist State of Gradhsith, more commonly known as Gradhsith, is a micronation in the Kolniari Sector. The nation was theorised and panned in late April 2023 and officially founded and publicly announced on the 22 of August, 2023. The nations goals is to create a safe and non-oppressive state towards any citizens and to create the first true Stewartist state.

The nation has a small land area that takes up the inactive/defunct micronation, the Berghassa Republics, land. The nation is looking to expanding its borders but as of now has seen to be fruitless as no complete maps of the Kolniari Sector has been completed, only maps of the northern part.

Etymology

The name of the Stewartist State of Gradhsith (Grad-sith) is split into two distinct and obvious parts; The Stewartist State of, and Gradhsith. The first part, Stewartist state, is obvious in origin: A state that follows the ideology of Stewartism. Gradhsith comes from Scottish Gaelic, one of the national languages, and it translates to Love. The reason of choosing Love as the name is of a few origins: first being inspiration from another micro nation, the State of Hokoria, who’s names etymology comes from the Japanese name for Pride. Another reason is to indicate the change in course from the nation’s predecessors, all being “terrorist nations” and “war mongers”.

History

As Gradhsith is a new micronation and was never officially created it has not been in any wars. Though following that fact it was proclaimed during late April and was ‘involved’ in the Kolniari Free State War. The nation is disputed to have never actually been involved in the war by Gradhsith and its government cabinet. The cases that were provided for the involvement of Gradhsith is and were heavily disputed: the accusations of vandalism of the wiki pages were never proven by the prosecution, the actions of Zachary Stewart and Anthony Scott were not of state orders and were, “the actions of teenagers f*cking about”. There also was the undeniable fact that the nation was never actually formed and independent, It was only proclaimed and was in the process of being set up. Though all these claims are disputed by the Free State, Hokoria and their respective governments and allies.

Politics and government

The Government

The government, the Provisional Government of Gradhsith, is a semi-democratic system with the Righ acting as the head of state. The Righ is a benevolent dictator that has complete authority but with the draw back of if the Righ is seen as corrupt and seen acting against the people’s interests the Prime Minister with the support of the government, the Righ can be removed from their position and the prime minister shall take their place. The Prime Minister has, just like the Righ, unlimited power inside of the nation expect from the limitation all actions not voted by parliament has to be checked and approved by the Righ. The prime minister has a one month term but can run for election as many times as they like, as long as they are in office. To have the opportunity to become prime minister you need to be put forward by the Righ and head of parliament. Once you are put forward as a Candidate the parliament votes on two and the rest are disqualified. After that process it goes to a public general election. After the winner gets sworn in by the Righ and former prime minister, they are officially the prime minister.

Head of State

The Head of State of Gradhsith is the Righ, currently Zachary P.G Stewart. The Righ has absolute power but with the addition of being able to be removed from power (see: Politics and Government - the government). The Righ is not elected by any power in government, the prime minister is the high to the position of Righ in case of the Righ passing, resigning or removed. The Righ has unrestricted power over the state of Gradhsith but if seen going against the people and the people’s wishes without provocation he can be removed and replaced by the Prime Minister.

Parliament

The parliament is made from members elected by parliament. The parliament can make independent decisions and decide on bills and laws democratically without interference. Though the Prime minister must approve those laws and bills and if the Righ sees it has harmful it can be vetoed. To be eligible for election for a MP position you need to follow the following steps:

1. Be a Sithion citizen.

2. Apply to create/join a party (see discord).

3. Apply for election and be approved by the Righ and or Prime Minister.

4. Be of legal age (13+, exemptions if proven to be reliable enough).

Once all steps are followed you may run for election.

Powers of the House of Parliament

The Parliaments function in the same way of the House of Commons and the House of Lords in the United Kingdom with the expectation of it being one house. The Parliaments members are publicly elected by the citizens. The parliaments purpose is to serve the people by acting out small changes to the nation and presenting bills to the Righ, Prime Minister and head of parliament whose job it is to review these bills and implement them into the nation.

Ideology

The COA of Stewartism

The Stewartist State of Gradhsith follows the ideology of Stewartism, the ideology that is featured in the name. It is named after its creator of the ideology and the Righ: Zachary P.G Stewart. The ideology is in the authoritarian right side of the political spectrum as-well as the liberal left with policies from both sides of the spectrum. The main aspects of the ideology are is a long list but incorporates social aspects from the left, MRM (mens' rights movement) and second wave feminism. A shortened down version of the main aspects of the ideology are the following; restore the balance of masculinity and femininity, freedom and independence for any state occupied by foreign nations, equal pay, total removal of sexism for both sexes, no racism, free housing and the addition of no rent, free food, the hopeful removal of money and the need for money, removal of class, equal rights to all, the eradication of pedophila as-well as rape and zoophiles, the banning of anarchism, fascism and nazism, eradication of drugs and alcohol, any false propaganda and pornography. Stewartism also looks to embrace and enhance tradition instead of ether accepting it and forgoing the 'wonderful technology’ we have today or or reject it and ‘forsake our ancestors’. The ideology was created for two essential reasons; free speech and freedom of nation. Stewartism has very negative views towards west minster and London and has a known biased opinion of it. The reason for this is that the country of origin of the ideology, Scotland has been under their ‘oppression’ for approximately 317 years (circa 21/08/2023, DD/MM/YYYY).

Law and order

The nation as it has no police force, it relies on the military for raids, arrests etc whilst relying on civilians to report crimes and suspicious activity’s to the authorities. Once arrested the criminal(s) have a right to a fair trail, a lawyer and if the criminal does not have one the state will provide one. They also have the right to the notion of ‘innocent until proven guilty’.

Foreign relations

Sithion foreign relations are as of now near nonexistent as the nation is currently isolationist. The Righ hopes to move out into the wider micronational community and hopes to make allies and build alliances. There is an exception with the neighbouring micronation, The Republic of Pekatan, where an informal alliance was formed as the leader, Oliver, would not give up his land an alliance was formed for practicality.

The Military is small with numbers under 15, as the nation is still undergoing construction. This number is expected to rise after establishment.

Culture and People

Culture of Gradhsith

The culture of our nation is very diverse but for the most part The culture is the urban Glaswegian culture. the architecture is that of the more Victorian era of buildings that are associated with the city of Glasgow but can also be a much more depressing environment, that like the stereotypical depressing soviet architecture of Eastern Europe, there is a high crime rate and a high rate of alcohol and substance abuse in the city and is brutalistic in nature. Though the territory held by the nation has a relatively low crime and substance abuse rate compared to the surrounding city.
