Driveball

Driveball is a Slavtrian sport created in August 2021. It was created by President Catiko and an anonymous friend. Driveball has been the national sport of Slavtria since 28 August 2021, replacing swimming.

Etymology

The name "Driveball" was created because the sport was first played on a driveway.

Rules

In Driveball, there are 4 players. 1 player is the thrower. They stand at the higher side of the slanted surface. There are 3 catchers. They stand at the lower side. The game is played on a slanted surface. The thrower throws the ball, and has to try to get it past a certain point at the bottom of the slanted surface. The catcher has to catch, or stop and grab, the ball. If the thrower gets the ball past the line at the bottom, they get 1 point. If the catcher gets the ball before it passes the line, they can either pass it to another catcher or try to get it over the thrower and past a certain point at the top of the slanted surface. If the catcher gets it past the line at the top, they get 2 points. There are 4 quarters, each being 2 and a half minutes. In the middle of the 2nd and 3rd quarter, halftime takes place, where the players have a break. It is 1 and a half minutes long. The team with the most amount of points wins.

Terms

When you score is called a touchdown, the action being touchdowning. When the catcher catches the ball, it is called catchballing.
