The Internal conflict in Arlandica (Cebuano: Sudlunong Gubat sa Arlandika) was a series of battles, considered a civil war, between the government led by Jerold I, the monarch of Arlandica, and Arlandican rebels and separatists.

Counter-revolutionary operations have been executed by the Civil Guard throughout the conflict, aiming to quell the rebellion and separatists and halt all forms of attacks in the country with the goal of achieving peace and unity among Arlandicans. The conflict lasted for almost 2 years.

Foreign involvement was rare, and Arlandica would have severed diplomatic relations if micronations had supported the rebel's side.

Battle of Cataline

The Republican Movement and its armed wing, the Republican Army of Arlandica, were formed as the successors to the Opposition forces of the United Arland Communist Party. The group received some support from now-defunct micronation of Qinnowah. Their motives were to overthrow the monarchy and establish a democratic government. While their leadership remains unclear, the Arlandican Government named their leader as "Reynaldo Santos." Their offensive was launched in Lopez and San Vicente territories of Nueva Bago but was later repelled by the Civil Guard. The battle lasted for only 5 days (June 1-6, 2021) and is considered a major escalation in the internal conflict. Following their defeat, the Republican Movement began to hide in forested areas.

Battle of Princepium

The Battle of Princepium between the Arlandican Government and the Galrish Empire (now Province of Galrea) after Zoe Bernardino, its emperor, entered into an agreement with King Jerold I to join Arlandica as a dependency, only to express his desire to separate after signing the agreement due to uncertainties about his decision. This resulted in a one-day battle on September 17, 2021, between his Galrish Guards and pro-Arlandican forces affiliated with the Civil Guard, led by Athena Sanidad. The pro-Arlandican forces emerged victorious.

Following the battle, pro-Arlandican forces ordered a withdrawal from the area, leaving the Galrish Empire in a state of instability and turmoil. This continued until July 20, 2022, when Zoe Bernardino officially integrated Galrea into Arlandica as a province through the Galrish Accords.

Fall of Republican Movement

The Republican Movement employed guerrilla tactics for over a year. However, this strategy proved unsuccessful as the remaining rebels eventually redirected their loyalty to the Arlandican Government and abandoned their previous goals. On November 19, 2022, General Jay Arce, chief of staff of the Civil Guard, granted amnesty to all former rebels, integrating them as members of the Civil Guard. This marked the end of the conflict, with the Arlandican Government emerging victorious.

Casualties

An outpost controlled by the Civil Guard in Lopez, a territory which is part of what is now Nueva Bago, was set on fire by the Republican Movement rebels during the first day of Battle of Cataline. The small fire lasted for less than an hour. There were no heavy casualties during the battle, but reports indicate that some of the rebels suffered injuries due to pellet guns and improvised weapons used by the Civil Guard, while the Civil Guard itself suffered none.

Physical contact between the belligerents was evident in all of the conflict's engagements. During the coup attempt in 2020 and the Battle of Princepium, there are no reports of injuries or any other casualties.

Foreign involvement

Qinnowah

During the Battle of Cataline, Qinnowah supported the rebel side, as the country holds an anti-monarchy stance, leading to the termination of diplomatic relations with Arlandica. Qinnowah called for a ceasefire, but Jerold I issued a persona non grata against their top officials, including President Samuel Escueta.
