Michael Pocci (usually known as Mišo, born 12th March 2006) is a Dubovian and Pinangese micronationalist and politically active student from Slovakia. He is the founder and served as the first president of the Dubovian Socialist Republic and also served as the president of the Pinangese Republic. Mišo is active only in Pinang and Dubovia, to ensure he has time to be active politically. He also served as a journalist in Pinang, being the editor-in-chief of "the Left", prior to becoming the President of the Republic.
Political views and interests
Mišo holds traditionally left-wing views. His views are very close to those of Esty Carpentieri, one of his two closest micronational allies and political partners. He identifies as a Marxist, progressive socialist, post-Marxist and market socialist. Mišo is fiercly anti-fascist and anti-totalitarian, and rejects all kinds of Leninist ideologies, due to their vangaurdist and very authoritarian beliefs.
Mišo also supports the unity of Czechoslovakia as a federal, democratic and socialist repubilc. He is supportive of the European Union, but is critical about its economic direction, which is in his view, neoliberal.
He is also staunchly progressive, as he supports same-sex marriage as well as minority rights.
Controversially, Mišo rejects liberal democracy, and supports a socialist democracy instead, which he deems a "true democracy". His criticisms of liberal democracy come from lack of direct participation of the citizens, lack of care for the working class and frequent elitism. His micronation's constitution reflects his political beliefs.
Despite his clear like for politics, his primary interest are natural sciences, notably, chemistry and biology. He plans to study either at the Medical Faculty of the Comenius University in Bratislava, or the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the same university.
