Overturn GA status of State of Berin

Nominator: User:Celestia 10:29, 29 March 2013 (GMT +1)

The article has a lot of grammatical errors as well as spelling mistakes and lack of well structured and developed paragraphs. I was surprised to find out that it is a "good article". In my opinion, this is definitely not a good article.

  • OPPOSE. Grammatical errors are very minor, and I don't see where you're coming from witht he lack of developed paragraphs thing. the manthe myththe legend 20:27, 13 August 2013 (GMT)

Schalamzaar Empire

Nominator: Schalamzaar Empire (talk) 16:34, 4 June 2014 (BST)
  • OPPOSE. Needs more text. --Luxor (talk) 16:32, 9 June 2014 (BST)

Derskov-Viadalvia

Nominator: User:Kolkaria 01:21, 10 June 2014 (BST)
  • OPPOSE. "Inderpendent". May be one of the worst nominations I've ever seen, also it's pretty much copy-pasted from the Ashukov Federation article. --Joseph Kennedy (talk) 15:52, 10 June 2014 (BST)

Würtige Empire

Region of Clyro

Nominator: Regional Dominion of Burnham 16:42, 11 June 2014 (BST)
  • SUPPORT. There were a few grammatical and stylistic errors, but I've corrected them, and can't see anything else wrong with it. Could maybe do with a few more pictures, though. Austenasia (talk) 10:13, 17 June 2014 (BST)

Republic of Aedeland

Nominator: Aedeland (talk) 08:47, 17 June 2014 (BST)
  • OPPOSE. The content's rather good in terms of structure and grammar, but it's clearly all fictional. Austenasia (talk) 10:13, 17 June 2014 (BST)
    • REJECTED. --Joseph Kennedy (talk) 04:21, 18 June 2014 (BST)
    • COMMENT: Thank you for your consideration. Aedeland (talk) 05:30, 18 June 2014 (BST)
    • COMMENT: This nation is within the meaning of micronation on this site. All nations exhibited here are fictional. Categorically, this nation is an exercise in creative fiction and a vehicle for the promotion of a personal agenda. As for the accuracy of claims made, while fictional, they are consistent with reality and are therefore accurate. The criteria do not require a Good Article be non-fiction. Aedeland (talk) 16:27, 17 June 2014 (BST)
      • a) Not all nations here are fictional. The majority are real places with real people which one could actually go and visit. b) The criteria do require articles to be accurate - "its claims are verifiable and not in dispute". Austenasia (talk) 18:14, 17 June 2014 (BST)
        • The ambiguity of terms like fictional and accurate are problematic. Fictional may be intended to mean fantastical, derived from fictional stories, unrecognized, or simply made up. Most, if not all, micronations could be characterized as fictional under one of these meanings. Regardless of this, the criteria for a good article do not specify that the article be non-fiction. The claims made by the article are verifiable and are not disputed. As a duly appointed representative of the Republic Aedeland, I verify that this entry accurately describes its subject and the article makes no misrepresentations. Aedeland (talk) 21:22, 17 June 2014 (BST)
          • So if I went to your country, people would all say it was founded in the Tenth Century? I doubt it. Also, your logic is a bit shaky. "I said it's true so it must be true!" By verifiable we do not mean that you can confirm it- that would be useless as you are the one who wrote the article. By verifiable, we mean we could actually go there and find out which of your claims are true. Überstadt (talk) 00:10, 18 June 2014 (BST)
            • The article describes a model nation and that is what is claimed. All subsequent claims in the article are an exercise in creative fiction providing context for the model. As a model, there are no citizens for you to talk to. If my reasoning falls short, it is not due to faulty logic but rather the ambiguity of the criterion. As the creator, I can verify the claim that this micronation is a model and the accuracy of the article in describing the model. Disqualifying fantastical, extraterrestrial, magical, or otherwise unbelievable claims as unverifiable is reasonable but the criterion, as presently intended, is arbitrary and has nothing to do with quality. If the criteria developer(s) intent is to exclude micronations without verifiable territorial claims, perhaps the criteria should be rewritten to specify this. Would further explaining the model itself (an exercise of a single individual with a fictional legendary context) within the article bring it into good article standing? Aedeland (talk) 01:07, 18 June 2014 (BST)
              • Mate, I don't think you're getting it. All the Micronations in the 'Good Article' section have to be ones you can visit, with multiple, human citizens. It's that simple. You've already said that Aedeland is an exercise in creative fiction, and that all of your citizens are not human. What part of this do you not understand? We all understood it when we got here. Regional Dominion of Burnham (talk) 11:16, 19 June 2014 (BST)

Ashukov Federation

Nominator: JosephKennedy (talk) 04:30, 18 June 2014 (BST)
Hey, Joey, we're meant to wait a week, remember? :P Austenasia (talk) 17:19, 26 June 2014 (BST)
Oops :D --JosephKennedy (talk) 03:19, 30 June 2014 (BST)

Overturn GA status of Foreign relations of Indokistan

Nominator: Austenasia (talk) 20:32, 18 June 2014 (BST)

This article has numerous spelling and grammar mistakes; I understand that English isn't the first language of the author, but with so many people available to help with the article if asked that's hardly an excuse. Many parts of it are also out of date, and there are several red links as well.
