The Old Socorran Kromer was the currency of the Despotate of Socorro. Despite being replaced with the New Socorran kromer in 2022, they will remain transferable to New Kromer until 1/1/2024.

Etymology

The name "Kromer" is in reference to deltarune chapter 2, more specifically Spamton G. Spamton who repeatedly refers to money as "Kromer"

Units

The pfennig is a former subdivision of the German Mark.

History

The Old Kromer was introduced in 2021 as part of the school project that resulted in the Despotate of Socorro it was originally tied to the value of iron in ounces. this was due to iron being a "practical" medal as opposed to medals like gold or silver, the value of witch are mostly symbolic. In 2022 this policy was abandoned due to the low value of the currency.

Coins

The old Kromer coins were never manufactured as Socorro did not have the means to create coins though there were planned designs.

Banknotes

The Banknotes of the old Kromer were manufactured with a laser printer.

The Old Kromer consisted of two distinct series of banknotes, of these the first issue 5☆ note and second issue 50☆ note are of known design, it is likely that the second series did not include notes lower than 50☆
