The Armed Forces of Forestia (AFF) (Portuguese: Forças Armadas de Forestia, IPA: ˈfoɾsɐz aɾˈmadɐʒ dɨ fuɾɨʃˈtiɐ; Japanese: フォレスティア軍, Hepburn: Foresutia-gun; Ukrainian: Збройні сили Форестії) are the military forces of the Federal Republic of Forestia. Consisting of the Forestian Army, the Forestian Air Force, and the Forestian Navy. The Armed Forces are currently being operated and led by the Minister of Defence Gabriel Kitayama. Forestia currently has not participated in any armed conflict, partially due to its peaceful resolution policy. The Federal government has specified it has no intentions to start conflict unless it is a response to a previous attack.[1]
Organization
The Armed Forces are divided into three branches:
The leaders of the three branches form the Joint Staff along with the Minister of Defence, which acts as a military advisory to the president.
Structure
Ministry of Defense
The Forestian Armed Forces are organized and structured in accordance with the country's defense needs and capabilities. The overall command and control of the armed forces rests with the President of Forestia, who is also the Commander-in-Chief. The Ministry of Defense oversees the administration and management of the armed forces, while the Chiefs of Staff of the Army, Navy, and Air Force are responsible for the operational readiness and effectiveness of their respective branches.
Forestian Army
The Forestian Army is the land arm of the Armed Forces. The Army is responsible for ground operations, including defense of the country's land borders.
Forestian Air Force
The Forestian Air Force is the air branch of the Armed Forces. The Air Force has fleets comprising of several origami aircraft, ranging from fighter aircraft to cargo planes for supplies. The Forestian Air Force is responsible for air defense, surveillance, and air superiority missions.
The Forestian Navy is the sea branch of the Armed Forces. Whilst the country does not possess a direct link to the ocean in its mainland, there are plans to station a fleet on Yuwa-Kati.
