The Chepiwanoxet conflict was a conflict declared by the State of Faltree against the Republic of Roscamistan over Roscami Rhode Island, the conflict beginning on the 4th of October 2022 and ending on the 5th. Faltree announced hostilities through the Declaration of Hostility, a document made after the Faltrian Senate approved a proposition by Jaime P. III to declare war against Roscamistan. Faltrian victory in the war led to the creation of the Commission of Chepiwanoxet.

Background

Tensions increased between the two nations following the severing of diplomacy on 25 September, after the Faltrian Senate voted on a proposition to break ties due to perceived hostility from a majority of the Roscami government. Senator Jaime Powell III proposed to declare war on Roscamistan on 28 September, receiving 7 votes in favor against 5 dissenting and 5 abstentions. The State of Faltree officially issued the Declaration of Hostility on 4 October, eliciting some shock and confusion from those unaware of activities in the Senate. The State Organization for Military Operations was organized in order to facilitate an invasion into Roscami Rhode Island.

History

International response occurred immediately after the Faltrian declaration with Fontasia warning against a Faltrian military incursion into the territory, claiming that they would diplomatically support Roscamistan in the case of an invasion. Longtime Roscami ally, the Commonwealth of Ballinfoyleburg declared diplomatic support for Roscamistan on 5 October 2022. The war ended on the 5th after Roscamistan ceded the territory to Faltree, hoping to avoid an escalated and drawn out conflict.
