Georgetown Radio (Anglish: Georgetown Wireless; Prsänëan: Ooxvarvp Gschørjexoon; French: Radio de Georgetown; Esperanto: Ĝorĝtaŭna Radiofonio) is the Georgetown, Prsänëa based broadcasting service for radio and television in the Grand Duchy of Prsänëa. It serves to distribute audio and video media for the Grand Duchy, on a platform that is internationally viewable.

History

Georgetown Radio was established as the first formal organization in control of broadcasting in the Grand Duchy of Prsänëa on December 24, 2012. Previously, televised messages, videos and television in the People's reformed States Republic, and then Prsänëa, had been distributed by the nation's YouTube channel, prsrgov, since August 14, 2010. The channel had also continued to be used in its same form for local broadcasting in the Prsänëa People's Republic during its time as a Republic in the Federated Republics of A1. No official organization had been created to control the prsrgov channel or broadcasting in Prsänëa during this time. The intent for the formation of Georgetown Radio was to compliment the Georgetown Telegraph by providing the audio and video media needs of the Grand Duchy as part of the Georgetown Communication Service. The formation of a formal broadcasting agency in Prsänëa also was decided upon by the government of Prsänëa as a way to organize the prsrgov channel in a manner that further television and video channels, in addition to radio channels, could be created under a common institution. On January 27, 2013, the Georgetown Radio radio station was established under the callsign of KGTR, with the username of "KGTRadio" on YouTube.

Services

Television

Currently, Georgetown Radio runs one television channel, prsrgov, with intentions of starting a second channel by 2013.

The "People's reformed States Republic Government" channel, usually called by its YouTube channel abbreviated form "prsrgov", is the official channel of the government of Prsänëa, and is used for the distribution of speeches and other content published by the Grand Duchy's government. Entertainment television previously published when prsrgov was the only channel in Prsänëa is also included in its listings. The second, and currently planned, channel is "Georgetown Radio Television", to be given the abbreviated name of "GRTV". GRTV will be used to publish television content and will be geared towards entertainment. Informational shows not related to the Prsänëan government will also be listed in the channel.

Radio

Prsänëa's first radio channel, with the name of KGTR, is was started on January 27, 2013. The radio channel is hosted on YouTuve, and is used to distribute music and other audio media, such as non televised speeches by the Prsänëan government.
