The History of the Arstotzkan Union is one that dates back to its founding on August 22, 2019. Over that time the nation has experienced wild changes, all of which is to covered in this page. This page is also home to the largest, most up to date history on all of the events of the Arstotzkan Union since August 22, 2019.
2019
August
(22) At 10:45am, August 22, 2019, the Independence of the Arstotzkan Union was declared. Although no official documentation was written announcing the independence, the Constitution was originally chosen to take the role as the main document that would established the Arstotzkan Union's independence. However, this Constitution was destroyed in the beginning of the First Civil Conflict and was unfortunately lost forever.

(6) On September 6, 2019, the first Vice President of the Arstotzkan Union, Zion Ormsby was demoted from his role, instead having Peter Gedye take the role. This was according to the President, due to the fact that Zion failed to appear to many meetings of the National and General Assembly's.

(18) The First Civil Conflict, or the First Civil Conflict of the Arstotzkan Union broke out at 13:00hrs
November
(23) The Reunification of the Arstotzkan Union document is created and is to end the First Civil Conflict on the 25th.
(25) The First Civil Conflict Ends, Arstotzkan National Government, the precursor to the National Government of the Arstotzkan Union is created. The current Constitution is adopted by the National Assembly.
December
(1) The Democratic Labour Party of Arstotzka (DLPA) is formed and holds two of the ten seats in the National Assembly. It becomes a opposition to the Arstotzkan People's Party (APP) the nations oldest political party.
(3) The Arstotzkan Union Defense Forces suspect the presence of Russian Spy Agents in the Arstotzkan Union, the President declares war on the Nation.
(6) The head of the Democratic Labour Party of Arstotzka stages a coup against the Brinkman Administration and Arstotzkan National Government. The party attempts and believes they have successfully brought down the Arstotzkan Union once again. President Ethan Brinkman "resigns" and "declares" the end of the Arstotzkan Union, however he and the Vice President and Minister of Transportation go into hiding and form the Underground Government of the Arstotzkan Union. Second Civil Conflict Begins
(16) Operation: Blue Shadow, the first ever military operation to be completed by any remaining AUDF troops still loyal to the Brinkman Administration, is created. On this day Lt. Tyler Brazier was made Operation Commander, and was also placed into the Underground Government.
(27) The AUDF establishes the bases of the AUDF: Aromaunga and AUDF: Maungatapu. These eventually become the first Territories of the Arstotzkan Union and are later renamed to the Angliyskiy Territory and the Gollandiya Territory. The Base at AUDF: Maungatapu was eventually retired and today houses the Arstotzkan Union International Command Centre, the Office of the Presidency (First President), and the Headquarters for Arstotzkan High Command. The Base at AUDF: Aromaunga is kept on and to this day is known as Arstotzkan Union Defense Forces Base: Fort Aromaunga and is the largest base for the AUDF.
2020
February
(5) President Ethan and Lt. Tyler Brazier both agree to invalidate Operation: Blue Shadow and take back the Arstotzkan Union on February 5, 2020, of which they do and arrest and dismantle the DLPA. The control of the DLPA is removed from the Arstotzkan National Government and the Underground Government is brought back into the National Government, with President Ethan declaring it to become the National Government of the Arstotzkan Union. Second Civil Conflict Ends.
(26) The Angliya Territory is created in Invercargill, New Zealand. It is to this day the most southern Arstotzkan Territory in the world. It is also created to be home to the Invercargill Embassy, its originally intended purpose

(5) The President declares the creation of the Emergency Health Alert Levels a.k.a the EHAL System. This is created in response to the weariness of the new COVID-19 Pandemic. The President also places a strong amount of government aid to the Ministry of Health.
(7) The Ministry of Health raises the EHAL to 4, but doesn't implement a lockdown as it does not have the legal power to do so. However, on the advise of the Ministry of Health, the President banned the entry of all non-government citizens to the Arstotzkan Union and advised them to remain home for the time being.
(8) On this day the Fourth Reich Party, which later became the Arstotzkan Labour Party was announced to be a new Opposition party in the National Assembly, originally the President wished to remove the party altogether to remove any chance at a repeat of the Second Civil Conflict but it was decided that the country would be holding an election in September 2020, but this was changed to May 1 to be closer. President Ethan announced he would run again and so would the Arstotzkan People's Party all running for re-election.
(9) The AUNNN runs its first Presidential Announcement. It is regarding the upcoming election.
(14) Former Vice President Peter Gedye announces he would run for President of the Arstotzkan Union and would run along with his own two parties, the Communist League of the Arstotzkan Union, which ran on a platform of anti-fascist, communist and socialist ideals and the Pirate Party of the Arstotzkan Union, which ran on a platform of the abolishment of copyright laws.
(18) The President announces that after a case of COVID-19 was detected in Invercargill, the Invercargill Embassy (at the current Angliya Territory) was closed. This is the first place to be closed due to COVID-19 in the Arstotzkan Union.
(22) The President address the Arstotzkan Union for the first time regarding COVID-19. The President raises the EHAL to 5 and only allows selected government officials entrance.
(23) The President announces to the Arstotzkan Union that the nation will enter a immediate lockdown due to COVID-19. He also announces that all government operations shall be moved to the Gollandiya Territory. He also announces that the May election shall continue. Also on this day, the President announces that a Coalition Government between the Arstotzkan People's Party and the Communist League and Pirate Party's of the Arstotzkan Union shall be installed. If the Coalition is to win, it means Peter Gedye would become the 1st Second President of the Arstotzkan Union.

(2) The Coalition Government becomes known as the United Government Alliance party.
(9) The President announces that Vice President Zion Ormsby is resigning to become the General Secretary of the Arstotzkan Labour Party. Tyler Brazier is announced to become the 4th Vice President of the Arstotzkan Union
May
(1) May Elections take place and the United Government Alliance wins with Ethan Brinkman becoming the 1st First President and Peter Gedye the 1st Second President.
(12) The United Government Alliance reforms into the Second Democratic People's Party of the Arstotzkan Union. This comes after the Arstotzkan Labour Party was handed over to the UGA, making the SDPPAU the only party in power. The Arstotzkan Union Defense Forces also gets a name change, becoming the Arstotzkan Union National Defense Forces. A full name for the Arstotzkan Union is created, with the country becoming the Democratic Republic of the Arstotzkan Union
(18) The Ministry of Health announces that by order of the President the lockdown will end and borders open on this day to anyone. The EHAL is moved to 1. The AUNNN also moves to Reddit.
June
(8) The Democratic Republic of the Arstotzkan Union becomes the Sovereign Democratic Republic of the Arstotzkan Union.
(18) The Sovereign Democratic Republic of the Arstotzkan Union becomes the Independent Democratic Republic of the Arstotzkan Union
(29) The Russo - Arstotzkan War is ended, making it the longest conflict in the nations history, lasting 7 months and 1 day. The Declaration of Independence, Sovereignty and Freedom is created on this day and is signed into power by the First President and three other delegates from the National Assembly.
August
(7) Google Maps places the Arstotzkan Union on the map. Also David Seymour, leader of the ACT New Zealand Party announces support for Micronations in a conversation with the First President.
(20) The Nations state of the union address is announced to be called Arstotzka2020 and was to be the largest celebration. The event stands to this day as the second most watched televised event in the AUNNN, coming second to Union21.
(22) The Arstotzkan Union celebrates its 1 year anniversary.
September
(14) Arstotzkan High Command is created along with several territories of the Arstotzkan Union
October
(14) The Independent Democratic Republic Arstotzkan Union has its final name change, becoming the Independent Federal Republic of the Arstotzkan Union
(16) The First President announces the beginning of the Federalisation of the Arstotzkan Union. National Government becomes the Arstotzkan Federal Government and the Land and Territories Act 2020 is enacted.
(25) In a joint effort with the New Zealand Ministry of Health, the Arstotzkan Ministry of Health erects QR Codes for contact tracing of any COVID cases.
November
(6) The Arstotzkan Marine Corps are formed.
(7) The People's Banner becomes the final Official Flag of the Arstotzkan Union, named after the Red Banner of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The National Navy and Air Force are re-established after months of being unused because of the Military Expenditure Reduction Initiative
(9) A small rebellion is detected which is aimed at destroying the Arstotzkan Union. The AUSIS is called to investigate. They launch Operation: Rebellion Destruction however discover that the rebellion is a independent nation and urge the First President to set up diplomatic ties with it. The nation is announced to be called the Confederate Democracy of Gamers and opposes the Anti-Capitalist, Pro-Socialism stance of the Arstotzkan Union.
(10) The Arstotzkan Union and CDG form an alliance. The Arstotzkan Union adopts a Foreign Policy of an uneasy alliance with the CDG in the November 2020 Foreign Policy.
(15) Tensions rise between the Arstotzkan Union and CDG. With the War Council of Arstotzkan High Command voting to draft Operation: Foreign Destruction. The Arstotzkan Marine Corps are ordered to be ready for an invasion of the CDG Capital, Johnston D.T. The Country is placed on High Alert.
(26) In the Afternoon of the 26th the First President broadcasts on the AUNNN declaring war on the Confederate Democracy of Gamers, claiming they had violated Articles of the Constitution and other articles of Arstotzkan Law. The Arstotzkan Marine Corps are announced to be leading the operation. The Arstotzkan - Confederate War begins.
(27) The AUNNN announces that Arstotzkan High Commands - War Council was discussing a possible end to the war.
(30) The War Council continues trying to end the war but fails and the war continues.
December
(4) The National Assembly passes Emergency Resolution 212, which classifies all government and legal documents in an effort to protect them from members of the CDG as many were formerly members of the National Government and AUDF.
(6) The 3rd Session of the National Assembly of the Arstotzkan Union is dissolved for the 2020 Christmas Holidays, with the Office of the First President taking immediate control of all war efforts.
(15) The Arstotzkan Marine Corps accept a "No-Surrender Doctrine" and are forced not to surrender to any member of the CDG under any circumstances.
(25) The People's Banner has an official physical copy created. It is flown in the bedroom of the First President.
(26) The Arstotzkan Union celebrates Russia Day, a day which commemorates the fall of the Soviet Union.
(30) The Arstotzkan Union celebrates its first Soviet Day, a day which celebrates the creation of the Soviet Union.
2021
January
(5) First President Ethan Brinkman announces his resignation as First President and becomes Acting First President until the inauguration of Vice President Zion Ormsby as First President.
(7) Acting First President Ethan Brinkman issues a special broadcast on the AUNNN condemning the actions of US President Donald Trump, his administration and close supporters well also pledging major support to the incoming Biden Administration.
(9) Article 32 is added to the Constitution. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Office of the Presidency list all the Trump Supporters involved on January 6 as "Domestic Terrorists".
(11) The Arstotzkan Union Defense Forces declares the January Ceasefire and ends all fighting in the Arstotzkan - Confederate War.
(19) The Arstotzkan Federal Government lists Jan 6th as the Capitol Terrorist Attack.
February
(4) Vice President Zion Ormsby becomes First President Zion Ormsby
(10) First President Zion Ormsby and Arstotzkan Ambassador to the Confederate Democracy of Gamers, Ethan Brinkman announce and ratify the Treaty of Judea which ends the First Arstotzkan - Confederate War.
(15) Prime Minister Ethan Brinkman invokes Article 34 of the Constitution which allows him to create the COVID-19 Response Council, which later becomes the Arstotzkan Disease and Infection Direction Administration or ADIDA. At the same time the First President declares a move the Emergency Health Alert Level 3.
(18) The Arstotzkan Union Security Intelligence Service (AUSIS) becomes the Arstotzkan State and National Security Agency under the Federalisation of the Arstotzkan Union.
(26) Prime Minister Ethan Brinkman returns to military service and is given the rank of Major General.
March
(9) The Fourth Session of the National Assembly dissolves the Unicameral legislature adopting and forming two new houses, the Arstotzkan Federal Congress and the Arstotzkan People's Senate. Ethan Brinkman also dissolves the Office of the Prime Minister of Arstotzka and creates the Office of the State Governor of Arstotzka
(18) The Arstotzkan Union officially announces a ban on the use of Facebook and the AUNNN deletes itself off the platform. This comes after the creation of the Privacy Act 2021.
April
(7) The State Governor of Arstotzka announces he is invoking Article 34 of the Constitution. The next day the House of Representatives is formed from the dissolving of the Arstotzkan State Senate, formerly the Arstotzkan People's Senate.
(10) The Arstotzkan Union formally recognises the death of Prince Philip.
(15) Arstotzkan Marine Corps troops launch an invasion of the Confederate Democracy of Gamers city of Johnston D.T. as part of the military operation, Operation: Foreign Destruction that was created on 26 November 2020. The country is declared to be once again part of the sovereign Arstotzkan Union.
(21) A joint statement from the Arstotzkan State and National Security Agency and Arstotzkan Federal Intelligence Agency announces the declassification of Project Vulcan, a project designed to create a special military group of the Arstotzkan Army Corps.
(24) The Land and Territories Act is amended to allow for the expansion of Arstotzka. The amendment expands the state by 58.21m2 and is the second largest state expansion until the September Expansion in 2022. Other changes to the region include the creation of the cities of Macroton, Brinkman, Gedye and Orsmby. As well as the renaming of the Capitol District to the Arstotzkan Capitol District.
May
(6) The Arstotzkan Union declares the People's Republic of China is committing a genocide against the Uyghur people's.
(7) Following a petition from the Arstotzkan Human Rights Bureau the Arstotzkan Federal Government ratifies Article 37 of the Constitution officially banning Neo-Fascism and Neo-Nazism in the Arstotzkan Union.
(26) The Arstotzkan State and National Security Agency officially releases Operation: Intelligence.
June
(1) Ethan Brinkman, 1st State Governor of Arstotzka becomes the 3rd First President of the Arstotzkan Union, a role which he has held since then.
(16) The Arstotzkan Federal Congress announces the formation of the Executive Committee of the Office of the Presidency of the Arstotzkan Union and the Political Bureau of the Second Democratic People's Party of the Arstotzkan Union.
(20) The Arstotzkan Union officially adopts the Constitution Act 2021.
