Canis Majoris Oblast was a federal subject of the Tsarist Empire of Gishabrun and later of Gishabrun SAR, Renasia.

Etymology

The name "Canis Majoris" is derived from the constellation "Canis Major" (Big Dog) in Latin, chosen for unknown reasons by HEE George.

History

On 27 January 2011, Canis Majoris Oblast joined the Empire with George, a friend of HIM Tsar Kuri I, being its first Ambassador. The oblast was recreated in a new location in October of 2011 due to HEE George moving to a new residence.

Canis Majoris Oblast was retained as a land claim of Gishabrun SAR in Renasia. It was finally returned to Canadian sovereignty upon the expulsion of its citizen due to inactivity sometime in December of 2013.

Geography

The climate of what was Canis Majoris Oblast is continental (but modified by the nearby river with the Lake Effect), meaning it has an average of 7.5 degrees Celsius, with 156.8cm of snowfall each winter and 892.4mm of precipitation year-round. Canis Majoris Oblast contained the house of its Ambassador, HEE George. Canis Majoris Oblast was surrounded by Canada on all sides.
