Outpost Krai was the largest krai of the Tsarist Empire of Gishabrun and subsequently of Gishabrun SAR, Renasia. Outpost Krai also had the longest coastline of any federal subject in Gishabrun.

Etymology

The name "Outpost" refers to the fact that Outpost Krai was relatively isolated from other parts of Gishabrun and from areas commonly visited by humans.

History

On 8 January 2011, HIM Tsar Kuri I captured Outpost Krai and declared the entirety of it a national park. Outpost Krai was retained as a land claim of Gishabrun SAR in Renasia. It was finally returned to Canadian sovereignty when Gishabrun transitioned to a non-territorial entity, on 5 May 2015.

Geography and climate

The climate of what was Outpost Krai is continental (but modified by the nearby reservoir with the Lake Effect), meaning it has an average of 9.5 degrees Celsius, with 133.1 cm of snowfall each winter and 834 mm of precipitation year-round. The area of Outpost Krai is surrounded by grassy plains on one side, and a fresh water reservoir on all other sides. Outpost Krai consisted of a forested peninsula, with a cliff being the border on one side, giving it the longest coastline of all Gishabruni federal subjects. Outpost Krai contained Outpost National Park, as well as a port used by the Imperial Navy. Outpost Krai was surrounded by Canada on all sides.
