Geography

Nature

The relief of the district of Takamachi is more steep than that of Chûô but less than that of Moriyama, which is the district with a steeper relief. In the northern part of the district there is a jungle area slightly populated with an indigenous settlement. In the southern part of the district is a densely mountainous area of difficult access. The central part of the district is the capital and is the most densely populated. To the east there is an area of meadows for animals. Takamachi is higher above sea level than Chûô, hence the name since "Taka", in Japanese, means high. "Takamachi" means "High City" in japanese.

Urbanism

It is the central zone of the district which is urbanized for the most part. The area has streets, avenues and buildings such as a hotel, restaurants and mansions and residential houses. Despite that and unlike Chûô, the urbanization of the area is still scarce as there are large lots and the streets have not yet been paved. To the south of the central zone is the main avenue that connects to the west with the district of Chûô and to the east with the area of meadows.

Population

Takamachi is the second most populated district of Hinata, only behind Chûô. Although the district of Takamachi is less populated than that of Chûô, Takamachi has an average income per inhabitant higher, this district being the residence of the upper class of the country. In the northern area there is still a small settlement of indigenous people of the island.
