Upper Backa, officially the Province of Upper Backa (Swedish: Provinsen Övre Backa), is a province in Thulia. It is the second smallest administrative division of Thulia by area, with a size of 0.0003 km2, constituting 0.33% of Thulia's land area. Upper Backa is located on a group of islands in the River Svartån, which lay 50 metres (164 ft) apart. The nearest province is Hackefälla, being 170 meters (557 ft) downstreams. The islands are accessible via swimming from the shore or nearby dock, or via the Hackefälla ferry.
