Old Acre is a district located in the Islamic Emirate of Acre. It is the smallest district, both by population and area, and encompasses 'old Acre', one of the oldest continuously-inhabited settlements on Earth. It it distinguished by its large walls, built by Zahir al-Umar over the medieval walls, which today separate Old Acre from 'New Acre'. It is also by far Acre's most Arab district, with 95% of its inhabitants being Israeli Arabs.
