The Marquetten Black Army sometimes referred to as the Revolutionary Insurgent Army of Marquette, was an anarchist army formed of Marquetten leftists who opposed the 2019 constitution. They were formed to establish a libertarian socialist state in Marquette in 2019 during the 12 minutes war. they were inspired by the Revolutionary Insurgent Army of Ukraine.

History

Before the 12 minutes war

During the lead up to the 12 minutes war, "Blue" was involved in several anarchist political advocacy groups in Marquette. During the lead up to the adoption of the 2019 constitution they attempted several times to peacefully prevent the installation of the monarchy, however these efforts failed and in 2020 they revolted beginning the 12 minutes war.

During the 12 minutes war

Soon after the Guards were raised, the black guards attacked a Guard position and forced them back twice. This resulted in the Royalists starting general conscription.

Later failures

after general conscription the black army were repulsed rapidly, however the Royalist advance stalled as the black army turned to guerrilla tactics.

Marquetten Provisional Government

Following the proclamation of the MPG by the Thief Taker Army and lapse in offensive action by the Royalist government the Black Army refocused on the MPG, which they saw as fascistic. after fierce fighting the MPG surrendered to the Black Army.

Surrender

After the MPG surrendered, the Royalist army renewed its offensive eventually resulting in the surrender of the Black Army.

After the 12 minutes war

Following the surrender of the Black Army, Nada I and Blue met in person to negotiate the peace deal. Blue was pardoned officially following charges of treason.

Most members of the Black Army are still citizens, and have re-integrated into Marquetten life as peaceful advocates.

Legacy

The Black Army is still remembered fondly by Marquetten Citizens, even royalist officials have been quoted as seeing a positive force in Marquetten history.
