The Military of Phillip is an armed force responsible for protecting the Republic of Phillip and asserting its territorial claims. Currently, it consists of only the Phillip Navy. There are plans in the future for an air force and army division. The Military of Phillip is incredibly small, only consisting of General Wes Krinkus. The Military was formed by President Jaxson Renny in order to assert claim over disputed territories and protect the capital district from attackers.
History
Invasion of Traqueto
The Invasion of Traqueto was an invasion that took place on 15 January 2023 in the disputed Traqueto Territory. The territory was disputed between the United States and the Republic of Phillip because even though Phillip claimed the land when the nation was established, no citizen of Phillip had ever set foot on it. So, in order to officially claim full control over the territory, someone from Phillip needed to visit it. This was the first ever operation of the Phillip Military.
For the purpose of this operation, the 1st Phillip Fleet was created by the Phillip Navy. It consists of three vessels, which are all one-seater kayaks. The fleet left a dock near the Lukous District and headed for the island. It took them about an hour and a half to reach it, and when they did, they discovered multiple pathways and some wooden structures that were estimated to be constructed in the early 2000s. There was also a Walmart shopping cart, a slide, and an old campfire. After a brief period of exploration, they settled on a place to make the capital city of Qeqe and planted a flag into the ground, officially conquering the territory. This mission was considered to be a huge success for the Phillip Military.[1]
Structure
The Military is led by the General, who is appointed by the President of Phillip. The General has the freedom to declare war on sovereign states without permission from any other member of the government, but the President is allowed to veto them. The Phillip Navy is led by the Chief of Naval Operations, who is appointed by the General.
The Phillip Navy is responsible for maritime operations. It currently consists of only the 1st Phillip Fleet, which operates from Lukous.
