The Invasion of the North Hillsborough is an ongoing invasion taking place in the disputed North Hillsborough Territory. The government of Phillip considers the territory to be under dispute with the United States because a representative of Phillip had never visited it. So, in order to assert Phillip's claim over the territory, the Phillip Navy was ordered to begin an invasion. The invasion began on 26 March when the Navy held a successful operation to the Dam Islands, a collection of five small islands in the Hillsborough River.

The invasion is currently ongoing, as only a small portion of the territory is under control by Phillip. The Military of Phillip has stated that an operation to invade the Csonka Territory will most likely take place before the continuance of the North Hillsborough Invasion.

Background

The North Hillsborough Territory has been a part of Phillip since the nation was established in early January. Any military operations within the territory had not even been thought of by military officials until the Invasion of Traqueto in mid-January. The successful invasion of Traqueto Island proved to military leaders that the Navy had the ability to assert its dominance over Phillip's territorial claims. After the territory was expanded upon in early March,[1] the Military begin seriously looking into the logistics behind an invasion of the territory.

On 5 March 2023, Phillip politician and Navy sailor Cooper Norfolk began to scout out the territory in person and through Google Earth to locate a good launch and landing spot. It was then decided that the invasion needed to be separated into two separate operations. The first operation would be dedicated to invading the Dam Islands, which are blocked from the rest of the territory by the Hillsborough River Dam. The second operation would be dedicated to invading the rest of the territory.

Invasion of the Dam Islands

On 26 March 2023, the Military of Phillip officially announced the launch of the invasion. At approximately 8:30 EST, Navy sailor Cooper Norfolk left solo from a public American dock to head to the Dam Islands. Norfolk decided to use the SS Undertimeslopper, a military kayak that is a part of the 1st Phillip Fleet.

The actual invasion itself only lasted around five minutes. Norfolk was able to ride his kayak through the first set of islands, but was unable to reach the second set due to low tide, and he feared that he would potentially harm military property.[2] On return to the first set of islands, Minister Norfolk attempted to land on the westernmost island but was scared away by the presence of a baby alligator. Shortly after that encounter, he retreated back to American soil and headed by to the Origen District.
