The Civil Code of Lasetia was signed 28 November 2023 by President Max von Lasetien. It includes rights and duties in the topics of Legal transactions, contracts, personal law, marriage law, property rights, liability, inheritance law, corporate law, tort law, consumer protection, data protection law, employment law, jurisdiction and the function of the court. The Books of Law are allowed to be changed by the Minister of Justice and the President. In the newest version[1] there are 5084 words and 16 paragraphs.

Paragraphs include one topic (Marriage law etc.) Which are usually covered by usually 5-10 subparagraphs declaring each law. All law books of Lasetia are in the National Archive of Lasetia which is mainly online and upon request can be handed out.

History

The Lawbooks in Lasetia are categorized in Versions which shows how often the lawbook had great edits. The BGB (Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch, Civil Code) is now on the version 1.3, the last big "update" including new paragraphs as from §9 - §13 being added.

Since January 2024 the Government had promised to totally translate the lawbooks of Lasetia into the english language for external observers and diplomats to observe.
