General Elections Lasetia 2023 II
The Second Lasetian Goverment will be elected 11 August 2023. Technically the Election should be held at 11 September but it was changed to 11 August because of the day of mourning in the USA caused by the Terroristic Attack and not to disrespect the victims of 9/11. There is no Info about which Political Partys or candidates who are willing to participate in the Election.
Parties and their program
The Central Reformer Party and Leftist Liberal Party have announced to take part in the vote. The presidental candidate of the CRPL will be Maximilian IB., ruling President of the Lasetian State and founder of the nation. The Leftist Liberal Party has not announced a candidate yet, but it is expected to be Victoria IK.
The Central Reformer Party wants to maintain relations with the Commonwealth of Independent Nations, expanding the Economy of Lasetia by funding the Companies in Lasetia with its GDP. The taxes should be set to a standart of 15% income tax so the state treasury will rise. The CRPL is planning to support Ukraine fully and even donating money. Due to unwillingness to give out tax money to ukrainians the amount of money wont surpass 10% of the entire GDP of Lasetia, the President of Lasetia secured. The Laws will be published officially and the president should have more power as he has right now.
The goals of the Leftist Liberal Party was not officially announced yet but it is secured that the LLL wants to save and extend LGBTQ rights and not funding any money to Ukraine. Top candidate Victoria IK. said in an interview: We want to be ehhhh social, very social.
Electoral system
The election system in Lasetia is First-past-the-post voting that if the party/coalition makes a majority of people vote in one state, Thus, they would get all the seats in that state, and in Lasetia, each state would get one seat. There are also rules written in the constitution.
(1) General Elections are held at least twice a year (2) The President is elected by the people (3) The Chancellor of the National Council is elected by a senate elected by the people
