Sancratosians (Lingua Franca Nova: Sancratosianes) are people identified with the Principality of Sancratosia. Adhering to the Sancratosian core values and principles and the use of Lingua Franca Nova expressions in general speech are seen as elements which are the source of their being Sancratosian.

The Principality of Sancratosia operates within a framework of civic nationalism and rejects ethnocentrism. The adherence of the people to the Principality is what makes them a citizen, not their ethnic origins.

Population

Demographics

Sancratosia's population is mainly acquired through naturalization. Naturalization into Sancratosian citizenship is reserved for people aged 13 and over and the age of majority, to be able to vote in elections and to be candidate, is 16. The vast majority of Sancratosians are of working age and self-identifies as men. The average is age is around 30 years old.

The Principality of Sancratosia classifies its citizens into two categories: nationals and residents. Both categories grant individuals of their full civil rights and gives them access to ePorteta.

Acquisition of nationality is not automatic. The request for Sancratosian nationality must be validated and is reviewed by the Ministry of State. Nationality is lost by the acquisition of the nationality from another nation.[b] The acquisition and reacquisition of nationality is the prerogative of the Sovereign Princess.

Residency[c] is generally automatically granted to individuals who request it. It is lost only by the establishment in a foreign country without intent of coming back.

Culture

The culture of Sancratosia is heavily influenced by Canadian culture, more specifically Quebec culture. It is however distinct and shaped by the use of Lingua Franca Nova as the official language and its population composed of naturalized people from around the world.

Languages

The official language of Sancratosia is Lingua Franca Nova, also known colloquially as Elefen. In addition, English and French are recognized as national languages.

Gestuno, Italian and Portuguese are 3 promoted languages, which have a special legal status in Sancratosia.

Sancratosia is a secular state and the monarch does not source its power from a God, contrasting from traditional monarchies. By sourcing its power from the people of Sancratosia, the Principality is unique in this way that it's a modern secular monarchy. The Principality guarantees the freedom of religion.

Because of its naturalization process, religious groups in Sancratosia, by number of adherents, are fairly comparable to that of the world's. Christianity is the most populous religion in Sancratosia, followed by Islam and Irreligion/Atheism.[1]
